Hi does anyone know if it has been announced when Arriva are likely to start modifying the fleet to be compliant with the Leeds LEZ as they dont have much time lift I've looked at the leeds LEZ report and most if not all Arriva's fleet as well as Yorkshire Tiger are compliant as they are at least euro 4. First will also be compliant when the ALX400s and older volvo/scania single deckers leave the fleet.

?? The LEZ requires buses to reach Euro VI, not Euro IV. This is why Metro made huge sums of money available to operators to retrofit their existing buses to make them compliant, because replacing the entire fleet with buses built as Euro VI would be impractical and not cost-effective. The same question applies to the York CAZ. Arriva will need to make the buses used on the 24/25/26 and the 415 meet Euro VI standards by January 2020, and while they have recently refurbished the Geminis used on the 415, as far as I know it was only a cosmetic refurb and they didn't do anything to the drivetrain. And as far as I can see from the timetable, one of the two buses used on the 42 will need to be compliant although the other one won't – the last I heard was that Selby was getting a couple of 2014 8.9m Enviro200s from Wakefield for this route, so those aren't compliant without modifications either.
