Looks like there’s been an update done on Bramley and Hunslet Park’s blinds presumably for recent route changes, unfortunately they’ve been well and truly ballsed up, loads of buses showing blank panels in the middle of a roll round noticed a 49 earlier roll from showing Bramley to blank and @ via point and noticed tonight bus on 16A not showing 16A on front but on back and side was correct oooops!

I’ve noticed this a few days ago. Seen it on the 3A ( blank ) via chapeltown road on the bottom, then rolling back to Gledhow again.

So the 1A started today with a really useful blind display of “Ring Road” ok if you know Leeds but clearly not for the masses starting uni this week as they stood back and hearded onto a 6 behind us, display doesn’t even show via Headingley which would be eminently more useful.
Well here hoping for sense to prevail but I’m not holding my breath!

Around the same time, the 1 and 28 had dedicated destinations so the driver didn’t need to change them at the terminus: ‘Holt Park & City’ and ‘Adel & City’

(And the 62 was "City Circle" in green and yellow?)

(And the 62 was "City Circle" in green and yellow?) They weren't marketed as that then - maybe that was before that but the destinations had remained on the blinds. I remember the 61/62 displayed the entirely unhelpful 'Circular' destination. Oh, and 'Ring Road' was also used for the 8/9 ring road circulars.

The latest incarnation of new blinds are truly awful gone has the last set with fairly useful displays showing some via points and large displays to small font difficult to see or comprehend from a distance.
There seems to be far too much playing with First’s blinds leading to a mix of displays whic looks even more tatty than normal and still far to many buses with non working side and rear displays which is quite clearly a breach of psvar but hat doesn’t seem to bother First or the DVSA staff.
I notice most displays are back to just final destinations those along the Otley Road loosing the via Headingley tag which I witnessed last night every student getting asking the poor driver “does go past Headingley” if he’d had a pound for everyone that asked that he could of retired!
And some buses displaying Pusdey Bus Station on 91’s
It’s about time First got a grip with it!

I've noticed now a lot of the displays have been changed so they now say via city centre. This is a lot better as the number of times I've heard "does this bus go into the city centre" for example on the 4 when it was showing seacroft via st James hospital but the bus was in pudsey. I've noticed the destinations for seacroft now say seacroft bus station and the ones for bramley now say bramley bus station too

Just a quick question from somebody who lives in the County of the wrong colour rose. Just seen the photo of a Halifax 13 plate eclipse in service in Leeds, with Destination 3A White Rose Shopping Centre. Bearing in mind that it was probably a temporary loan, quite a lot of which has been happening in Leeds of late, are the destinations Opco wide installed on each bus, or are they individually programmed on each loan.

They're all on separate databases... Halifax, Huddersfield & Todmorden : Huddersfaxmorden.mdb Bradford : Bradford.mdb Leeds : Leeds.mdb Filesize would be too large and would take an age to upload onto the bus, plus the controller can only hold about 5MB of data. Thanks for that Josh, had already thought that the file would be quite immense with all destis in. So the stick has to come out on each transfer I take it.
