First service change arsing from the extended ownership is that the Red Express (X41 Blackburn-Manchester) is to serve Ramsbottom. Can imagine that this means either a cancellation or a curtailment of service 484 then, which runs a similar route between Accrington and Broadway via Haslingden.

Seems that you got it in one, from April 8 the 484 runs Bury-Ramsbottom, to connect with their with the X41 which again is to be truncated to Manchester-Accrington. www.rossobus.com/article.shtml?articleid=8064

The buses saved from the 484 will probably be used in the increased 469
I can’t see any other obvious change in PVR.
They have confirmed the 464 will be getting “new buses”, presumably the versas on order, and 467/468 and 469 will be getting “newer buses”, presumably the current Burnley streetlites joining the existing Rosso streetlites.

Would think their is an increased PVR on the 244 (to be 481) with the extension to Bury; 467 and 468 also increase as per the 469.

Maybe they should combine existing brands, new brands and the bus butlers theme, and call it " Rosso Espresso"... I'd probably have one at lunchtime next time I have a day out in the area.

I did consider riding the X41 from Manchester to Prestwich next week. I now prefer to ride one through to Ramsbottom and cover new buses (Versas?) on route 464 the same day. It will of course be some months off though.

Route branding for the new buses on the 469 from April, which will see extra buses on the route following First's plans to withdraw their 468 service.

Of note is that the buses previously with Transdev are not receiving their old numbers If they had then the other B7RLEs could have been neatly have fitted in as 1879-1899

Nice branding, but the more sub-brands they introduce, the more likely they are to need to allocate the "wrong" buses. Some Streetlites were recently given Tottington Link branding.
