I had seen S484ANW 484 today on the 167 to Castleford. The seats have been re-trimmed so don't have the dot pattern anymore. The back ends as previously mentioned have had a complete overhaul and now have LED rear lights.
Overall, I think the livery does look good. Would of been good though if they retrofitted some new LED Destination Equipment so the buses look that little bit newer.

I saw 484 yesterday and thought the exact same thing, new destination equipment will complete them! Hopefully they will be upgraded pretty soon as most of the Plaxton Prestiges have received new destination equipment. I think the 1999 Optare Spectras should be the next buses to receive a mid-life refurbishment.

Oh, don't tell me Arriva have gone back to using those rubbish destination screens again.

They would look much better with the Hanover screens. Afterall they've only just finished fitting them to the Optare Spectras.

Saw what I presume to be 461 on the 254 this morning. I was so impressed by the change the Interurban colours has made, I didn't actually notice which it was. I know on another thread I suggested that Arriva should have a complete livery revamp, but this looked good, probably because it's freshly done and not yet dirty.
On the other hand I saw what could have been 462, but the registration plate was quite dirty and looked like 482 - unless that bus is now at Heckmondwike.

ALX300 461 was at Huddersfield early this afternoon working the 229 to Leeds. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p51498229.htmlI didn't like the livery/bus combination when I first sore the pics in the youtube video linked above. But having seen it for my self it doesnt look to bad. The only niggle for me is that the cream swoop should be a little further back along the bus. David.c

I saw one on the 220 in Cleckheaton yesterday. It had an orange destination display (the poorer quality version), so I presume that Arriva are re-using the destination equipment from the scrapped Lances? I thought the new livery was far better than the old colours this bus used to wear.

Having seen a few of these now, I think the destination blinds are an improvement on the ones the ALX300s used to have. It reminds me of when the Lynxes were refurbished a few years back.

Arriva are intending to get through the whole batch of ALX300s. I just hope they do and don't stop like they did with the Alexander ALX400s with some in interurban livery and some not.

481 has also been done as well. Saw it in Leeds on Thursday looking pretty smart.

S466GUB (466) now is in interurban livery which is based at Heckmondwike. jacksbusphotos.fotopic.net/p52313546.htmlHas anybody actually travelled on a refurbished ALX300 yet? If so, have you noticed any improvements in noise levels and if the back of the bus vibrates as much seeing as these have supposedly had their backs rebuilt.

It does appear that Castleford based 482 and 484 are sticking to the 167/168 service between Leeds and Castleford.

Seems like they're just trying to get a few more years out of the ALX300s really, probably because they're low-floor as well.

445 (R445KWT) has also been refurbished. This is the first refurbished Alexander ALX300 I have traveled on.
Just to note, that the floors on the buses have been relined in green. Yes, there is still the problem with rattling when the bus is stationary.

Heckmondwike based 460 R460KWT has now been refurbished.
Only the worst offenders are getting treatment as I would imagine to do the whole batch would cost a fair bit to Arriva.

Yes i don't think arriva will all of them because i have see 2 alx300 or passably the same one that hasn't been refurbished but it has the new orange LED destination gear with its original paint work buffed up and polished so it looks like it has been repainted but it hasent but they do shine for a week or so.
