It's a refresh but I think it falls better in line with these MAX, Sapphire and Frequenta rollouts they're doing.

The photo that's been shown is a CGI of 1476 as the real bus is still in Frequento livery and was seen last night. Looks to be what the livery will look like and what would be like with branding. There is a Gemini in Derby that's been repainted into a blue Base livery.

It's about time Arriva refreshed their image. Both First and Stagecoach have changed livery's in the years post millenium (Beachball and Olympian), introducing bold bright and distinctive colours. But Arriva have persisted with a prominently dull blue paint job which to my mind has always looked bland and utilitarian. Personally iv'e always thought the Interurban livery looks even worse than the original aquamarine/sandstone combo and the Max and Frequenta variants are a pointless waste of good paint. I admit i don't mind the Sapphire paint scheme, as it looks a little brighter. There's nowt wrong with blue, it's a nice colour, but if Arriva carry on using it as their "house" base colour then, i wish they'd do something imaginative with it. If Stagecoach, First and Transdev can have individual eye-catching bright livery's, then surely Arriva can, given the vast resource's behind them.

Apologies if veering slightly off-topic, but an Arriva Cymru Bangor based Solo is due to be outshopped in the new "national" Arriva livery anytime soon.

Seems a bit odd that they are rolling out, quite substantially in some cases, the relatively new MAX livery, and the very new Frequenta livery if its all about to be rebranded.
Although those liveries are mostly used in the Yorkshire/North East division, most other areas have only used MAX on a couple of routes. Maybe a local decision conflicting with a head office decision.

I find this silly if it's true that they rolling out the new liveries On new deliveries or repaints. But not applying fleet names til next year. Why not launch the whole package together? If they are we gonna see new buses and livery with old style names and old livery with new names.

Considering there are still Commanders, Eclipses & at least a couple of Spectras wandering around in Sandstone and Aquamarine I would imagine that MAX and Frequenta could still be around for a number of years yet even if a full rebranding exercise is started.

True but the bus side of their business has different livery 2 their other transport divisions and is run different. If the buses/coaches up and down the country were to get a new look to freshen them up wud it really have a big effect on other transport divisions within their business?

I've seen Arriva Merseyside ADL E400 4401 with mostly turquoise with a white swoop. On the nearside is the legend www.arrivabus.com. Fleet numbers and legal lettering is white, but Iwish the fleet numbers were larger!

What a remarkable transformation, I couldn't even begin to fathom how much time and thought went into this new livery. I'm blown away with just how radically different it is compared to the previous livery.

If you remove the arriva logo it looks like that demonstrator optare metro decker they were sending around last year
