£15 million Bradford Forster Square station revamp will create 'welcoming gateway' to city centre BRADFORD Forster Square station is in line for a complete transformation under a new £15 million project unveiled by transport bosses. Work on the scheme could start in 2018 to coincide with a major boost to the timetables which will mean direct trains departing to London every two hours. The station building would be completely rebuilt with a sweeping wood-and-glass roof, two glass-fronted lifts, a cycle hub and shops. New 'pods' housing waiting rooms and other facilities would be built under the railway arches and a piece of scrubland next to the platforms would become a colourful wildflower meadow. m.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/14340634.__15_million_train_station_revamp_will_create__welcoming_gateway__to_Bradford_city_centre/

Knowing how everything on the railway drags on, I expect a much cheaper scheme to be finished some time around 2028.
The arches as you walk into town, have been an underused space for years though, and should in theory have coffee shops and little shops in them, not just homeless people. Of course Bradford's economy would presumably not support such businesses.
