Ex M Travel Wright Cadet bodied Daf YJ54CFA on the 126 today still in M Travel livery with no fleet names. Were they the only vehicles acquired from M travel/Stanley gath? The newer cadets looked smart in the m travel livery and would probably be a good addition to any fleet

The other StreetLite should have arrived some time this afternoon so will probably be on the road later on this week, I believe it's another one from the Dunn Motor Services (Yourbus) batch the other was part of.

I know MX62GWC had been for sale listed with Alexander Dennis or Plaxton on their site as they have a lot of that batch and wf variants been listed too

Did it still have County Links Branding or just the Yellow & Green Livery Still had the branding on the livery From what I remember when they Purchased MX55BXP, MX55WDP & YJ54CFA from M Travel when that got shut down they ran in livery with BXP been painted white then WDP was recently painted white. CFA didnt stay long enough to get repainted. Makes sense really as i know both Streetlites and YX10 FGJ have been used on it.

Saw 2 of the extended 116, the 1625 from Leeds displaying Ossett The Green and the 1725 from Leeds displaying Shaw Cross. When I looked at the timetable at the southbank bus stop outside Asda House it says they both terminate at Horbury

Loadings are shockingly poor on every 116 I've seen in Leeds, and that's at all sorts of times, for example PM peak buses from Leeds should be carrying a lot more than 3 passengers. I hope Metro are monitoring the figures and won't waste money on a contract, and I hope they turn round to the moaners in Ossett and tell them straight what every bus cost to run.

Jeez give them chance to get it established. It's only been running one week and it was set up with 2 and a half weeks notice; not even the regulars of the 116 & 126 knew about the change.

Does the bus just run around Leeds? How can you judge it by seeing it leaving Leeds, given everywhere else it covers.

Well I thought the good folk of Ossett were supposed to be up in arms claiming to be cut off from Leeds, clearly Arriva were right to cut them off going by the figures.

Well I thought the good folk of Ossett were supposed to be up in arms claiming to be cut off from Leeds, clearly Arriva were right to cut them off going by the figures. Please share when & where you've gathered your evidence 👍 Specifically, yesterday at Asda house outbound on the last bus there were 2 passengers including one woman who made a right point of flagging it down at that stop. A few days ago I've seen a morning peak bus towards Leeds, and an evening peak bus from Leeds with just 3 on board, both at different times/locations however but well beyond Ossett, so you'd expect the folk of Ossett claiming they're cut off from Leeds to be a lot more on board than they are, it's a case of folk expecting buses to run just so it's there for them in case they need the odd trip here and there. Now other journeys I've seen were at times you'd expect fewer passengers, e.g. AM to Ossett or PM to Leeds, but if there was so much demand for a bus I'd be expecting to see more than I saw. If you want to physically see more evidence, Daniel Stazicker has an excellent example on Flickr of a 116 with hardly anybody on board by the Broadway on Dewsbury Road, this service must be costing Station Coaches an absolute fortune so it won't last.

As i've already said lay off them and give them chance to get it bedded in; the service only started last week (Monday 28th February 2022). I personally back the route as will passengers in time given that they fares are cheaper than what they were under Arriva's 117 PLUS with Station Coaches the passenger can SAVE money as they offer return tickets. You can also say it's Metro's fault for not promoting it and Yorkshire Evening Post & Wakefield Express for not doing reminder articles on the service instead of focusing on the axing of the Arriva Services and the 188 getting axed got more coverage in Wakefield Express than the 117 getting axed.

The Routes are: 116 Wakefield to Leeds Via Lupset Hotel, Horbury, Ossett, Gawthorpe, Shaw Cross & White Rose Centre. 128 Overton to Wakefield Via Horbury & Lupset Hotel DTB Dewsbury Free Town Bus ML1 Heckmondwike/Firthclffe Circular. They also ran 126 Ossett to Wakefield up until the April Service Changes. There's also School Routes 183 Thornhill to Batley Girls and 624 Batley to BBG Academy.
