Please DO NOT use this thread for SGI conversation.

In my honest opnion, I hopr Aarons travel will actually seem to be a better reincarnation.
If they focus, and take on constructive criticism well, it could be the next Tender Loving care company of Dewsbury.
All the best, and best of luck!

Two things this announcement won't be, we've won a Metro contract or we've come up with a totally unique route nobody has ever thought of. What is it with SGI/Arrons, there's more to life than Arriva Yorkshire Woollen routes you know! Well OK the Ossett route isn't a Woollen District route but you've got to admit, they've got an obsession with Dewsbury, Cleckheaton etc. Would love to see something unique like Mirfield to Barnsley via Dewsbury, Grange Moor etc.

If Barry or any of his mates are on here, please pass on these UNIQUE suggestions!
No express bus exists between Dewsbury and Leeds, the train is expensive, a non stop cheaper than the train bus might go down well as existing bus routes to Leeds are a cheap but round the houses ball ache.
Bradford to Wakefield is another ball ache, an express might do well considering the direct trains are few and it still takes a while changing in Leeds.
A very well promoted Saturday summer leisure link from Dewsbury to Oldham via Mirfield, the motorway to Ainley Top then down to Halifax, Sowerby Bridge, Ripponden, Rishworth, Turnpike Inn, a stop at Pennine Way and Denshaw. Leisure travellers would love this to return, but leisure things on route including country pubs/walks would need promoting to entice new users.
This company needs fresh ideas, they'll end up like a dated old record if there not careful

Well how did the X33 they ran b4 last easter do on full length Wakefield to Bradford as I know some passengers preferred it to the 253/268/283 for Dewsbury to Bradford. Also what route would the Dewsbury to Leeds express take to avoid rush hour traffic. I have also been told that their 283 will be back in a year or two.[/quote]
Their version of X33, was not limited stop, it was all stops, it did 2 Wakefield - Bradford runs in a morning, yet, on the evening, only one Bradford - Wakefield. They would stop at bus stops, where people were stood, and try to get them onboard, they were meant to run NON-STOP between Cleckheaton Bus Station and Bradford Interchange in both directions, (apart from the one, they diverted via Oakenshaw in the afternoon), very funny how it was using all stops between Cleckheaton and Chain Bar, again stopping when people did not put their hands out.

Find a good script writer and the postings relating to SGI/Station Coaches/Arrons Travel would make a good TV series.

Well, Station Coaches already have 2 pages on Facebook, and I've just read a nice recent complaint, from June 1st. Setting up a group page doesn't take up too much time, why don't you, start them one, h6lyl?, afterall, you and Yorkshire Bus Group are 'official' spokespersons for Arrons Travel/Station Coaches.

Station Coaches have gained a Plaxton Prime in all over white livery [YX07 HHN] was out on their 126 today Their Scania was out also earlier this morning 10:00ish in Horbury, yesterday they were using the Scania and their little Dart, the latter sounded OK but the back of it looked rather untidy in comparison to the rest of it.

Dawsons Rentals I think, as it has previously been with Sandla(Arrive in Style) Whilst it MAY have been a Dawsons Rental vehicle previously, I don't think it is anymore, as I'm informed that all the Station Coaches fleet is owned by the company.

YX07 HHN has now been vinyled with company logos, seen on 126 earlier. Apologies for the quality as it was taken off my Dashcam.

YAZ passed me this morning on a 126 to Wakefield well god knows how they got it started as i was on the primo when the woman phoned to say it just came to a halt and wouldn't start up. They tried filling the water up more, rolling jump start and checking the electrics and everything was fine but there was no power at all going to the engine. It was still at Ossett waiting for the boss at 17:45 when i got my 117. Rolling jump start? Must not be the cleverst engineers trying to jump start a vehicle which doesn't have a clutch and is fully automatic.
