For those who haven't seen the Transdev thread, there will be changes to Transdev's 66/6A, 760 and 762/765 services: *66/66A - Monday-Saturday daytime service increased to every 20 minutes. Evening and Sunday journeys will operate as a 66 rather than a 66A. *760 - Times changed with an additional Mon-Sat evening journey at 2210 from Keighley and 2325 from Leeds (2340 from The Headrow). *762/765 - Times changed with all journeys operating as a 762 and will operate via Elliott Street, Woodside Road and Skipton Road in Silsden, meaning Dradishaw Road is no longer served. www.keighleybus.co.uk/news.jsp?newsID=1484

I wonder why it's given 15 mins to get from the bus station to The Headrow, presumably because Leeds City Bus Station closes at 23:30, but they also want it to run an hour after the previous journey.

I've always wondered why they havent had Leeds City Bus Station open later than that considering so many services terminate in the city centre after 23.30 not to mention there are other journeys which are restricted by this 23.30 closure. If the council really intend fr Leeds to be a 24hr city maybe they should have later closures of the station

Closing the bus station at night isn't restricting anything. It's standard practice countrywide. Late night buses and overnight buses in cities that have them always use on street bus stops.

The flying tiger 757 runs all night But, don't the overnight ones (when the flat fare applies), terminate and start at the Railway station?

And don't you think that is silly considering the coach station has coaches coming and going all night... Especially with students and the student villages are along kirkstall road/Burley road. I think there is many good reasons why it should be open later than present. I'm not saying 24hr service but maybe to 1am. But I've always thought the bus station should have been placed closer to the train station to provide a better interchange. Sorry to anyone who think this has been taken off the main point of this forum board but it is just a discussion.

Most of the students get on the uni services at Albion Street, for two reasons, closer to the train station and Morrisons, also more buses stop there. The bus station has 6, 28 & 97 (12 buses an hour. Whilst Albion Street has 1,6,28,56 and 97 ( 27/28 buses an hour) from First, and 92 93 from Tiger. On the night bus, Albion Street is more known for being busy, cheaper drinks for students on a budget

Closing the bus station at night isn't restricting anything. It's standard practice countrywide. Late night buses and overnight buses in cities that have them always use on street bus stops. It's restricting buses using the bus station and forcing passengers to know where the bus stops outside those times! It's common but not everywhere closes bus stations at night - especially in London (where to be fair far more buses use them) where many bus stations are open 24/7. Bradford Interchange does not close overnight. Whilst this is so coaches can use it, presumably there's nothing stopping any overnight bus services from doing the same. Should we refuse to do anything because it's a change from the current standard practice?

Bradford Interchange does not have a separate coach bit. However it closes on Boxing Day.

Bradford Interchange does not have a separate coach bit. Yes. And? Neither does Wakefield and coaches have to stop on the main road at night there. However it closes on Boxing Day. I'm not sure why you mention this. Are you saying it's a good or a bad thing?

No coach station at Bradford interchange? Why? That does seem strange for Boxing Day . Then again Hall Ings stops could be used as temporary pick up and drop off points.

I'm not sure why you mention this. Are you saying it's a good or a bad thing? Coaches use the same stops at all times at Wakefield (as they have done for the past year or so) - the old 110 stops on Northgate (or at least I assume they do, it would be a bit stupid if they had 2 sets of on street stops)

Ah! Shows how long it is since I caught a coach (or used the bus station) in Wakefield.

Looks like most/all of the 93 route would be replaced by the 29, the 69 could replace some of the 92 route, while the 39 may replace the 92 journeys to/from Kirkstall Brewery.

Not a service change but just to let you know, the people behind South Pennine Community Transport are meeting this month to discuss the future of the 352, it is likely to run until end September but at a guess I'd say it'll end in November and return next April. Good loadings so far, many journeys have dropped off or picked up walkers on the moors! Many users are also just using the bus one way either for walking or doing a longer day returning on a 184, some also apparently making their way to Glossop to return on the 951! Noticed a fare offer advertised on the bus, Metro and System One ticket holders can get a £2 return fare throughout the route!

It is a good service for walkers and visitors but not much use if you want to use it there and back. Three return journeys a day with the last return trip ending in Holmfirth at 1509. Keep the thre journeys but stretch them out with the last one finishing around 1800

Quick comment. The Cross Hills via Silsden bus is now a 66. The 66A & 66C are no longer in use. The 571 existing times were quite convenient for me.
