Does anyone know why the Saltaire running day has been withdrawn this year, is it lack of entries, lack of volunteers or a problem with the venue.
I've been every year since it started and it always seemed to generate a good number of visitors with full bus trips, along with a lot of casual passing visitors.
I'm not sure there's much point having another open day at Riverside next Sunday instead. I went to the spring event to see Transdev's Ribble vehicle but decided not to pay to go into the museum again. I just don't think there's enough going on inside to justify three open days a year.
