From early 2015 routes 202/203 and 110 will have new buses (enviro 400's) which will run under MAX specification, current 110 vehicles will have some drafted into Dewsbury depot and some elsewhere. Also current 202/203 vehicles will be given to Yorkshire Tiger and repainted into their livery.

I asked a fellow arriva driver about the 2 buses and if they are being replaced, he said that they've got plenty of life. I know that recently they had new seats and decor fitted.

We've heard down at Hecky, that our 653/4/93-6 will be temporarily be replaced by the 700 series Spectra's, possibly 718-23 (originally Hecky's), then when the new vehicles arrive and vehicle movements happened, the Spectra's will be replaced by the 1500's, and the 1800's at Dewsbury will move back to Wakefield.

The alx400s will more than likely to be withdrawn from the fleet. Its also possible that some 1500's will replace them. I can see arriva keeping the spectras for the next 2 years until they've clocked up a lot of mileage

Who ever gets the 1800's I am so sorry for them because these buses are really bad to drive especially 1815 the best one is 1804 had gearbox change. Good buses to sit in though

Will this mean the end of the plaxton presidents? It is seeming very possible that these new buses will be Enviro 400 MMC's as I asked head of engineering Dews sayin it will be them

59 Will come from Arriva North West If this is the case, them it would automatically become one of the oldest buses in the fleet. The Ikarus with Arriva North West are Y reg.

I wonder if its down to the case that these buses are cheaper to run because most of AY's fleet was modernised after the 2012 change. Leaving some old buses including Ikarus Polaris. Now in late 2014/early 2015 the Spectra's for example T639 EUB have retired or withdrawn from fleet because theyhave no ramp. ALX400 is to be retired probably soon because they are one of the oldest buses around in their fleet and are not quiet or efficient. Then comes the Plaxton Presidents we will see these leaving around late next year, they make too much noise and comfort is appauling on this bus. Next up the Ikarus Polaris 57, 58, 59 and the 02-52 Spectra's will be retired later due to the fact that they have got plenty of life in the and have been refurbished .Same goes for the Ikarus they are quite modern from the inside but they both make quite a noise so both will be close towards the exit of the fleet but not yet.

I'd rather the presidents left first, there like torture boxes on wheels. The alx400 have well padded seating at least but do make an unbearable noise.

The Presidents didn't benefit from having 4 speed voith gearbox and Urban 90 seats. compared to the ALX400s with ZF gears.
