They still have all the yellow step Dart's exclusively for schools. It is expected they will be kept until DDA D-day. 2 of them are still here, even tho the DDA date has long since passed....not that Im complaining or anything, it's GREAT to still see them the limited number of times they do still go out! M721 CGO was the first to go, in Dec '15, back 'home' to London, then L401 CJF to Liverpool last July, M405 HFP also to London last July - it's donated its engine to a Routemaster and is presumably being scrapped and L402 CJF / M406HFP are still here, alive & well

If Stotts allow the general public to use the service also then the DDA rules come into force. Tom

Are the darts actually still used, because didn't they buy a load of replacements (ALX400s and Enviro 300s)

they got a second '300 a few weeks ago Of the 2 remaining darts, only '402 seems to go out now, M406 has hardly moved in months! M406 would at least get used if they gave it Yorkshire Greenline, or better still, sold it for preservation

Is it especially notable to be preserved?
I'm not sure what use Greenline would have for it

Were it to have any distinction it'd be that it was the last step dart delivered new to Kinchbus
Greenline would use it for swimming contracts, school runs etc. As far as I can gather, they only use that Merc minibus for a school route from Colne Valley that they took over, and I just think that a (step) dart would be a better choice coz said Merc minibus doesn't look nearly big enough!

Like all the other Stotts School Buses, M406 HFP is a Dennis DART, or do you mean is Greenline's Plaxton Verde a Lance? Greenline's Verde is a Volvo B10B/Plaxton Verde.
M406 'supposedly' does sometimes go out but AFAIK it's basically a never-used spare bus; L402 CJF is the one that goes out if any Stotts Dart does

today was the 1-year anniversary of L401 CJF & M405 HFP leaving Stotts.... 1 year on, L401 is now in private ownership on the Wirral (as we speak it's in the process of being painted back into its original livery) and M405 ultimately donated its engine to a routemaster with a ghost tour operator in London

L402 CJF left yesterday for Milton Keynes, leaving M406 as the sole survivor. I saw one of the two doing the K11 that morning (think it was M406), and I had a feeling it'd be the last time i'd see one in service
