Very busy indeed nearly full on the X10 even especially if it pulls into LCBS before a 110! 105/106 doing surprisingly well on the Alverthorpe end.

Was travelling on the dual carrigeway today in Wakefield between junction 41 industrial estate and the paragon business park (burger king area) a yorkshire line bus branded for west central connect or something similar was parked on the side of the carrigeway lights out and no one about. Any ideas what it's doing there?

It is R127 RLY & it will be the spare for the 53 service, it used to park at ASDA in Morley but i bet they have been told they can't keep it there. Either that, or they wanted somewhere more central to keep it.

Yep that's the bus. Didn't think they would be able to keep it on a dual carrigeway though!

More likely it was more 'cost effective' to get them MOT'd at the cheapest rates. Maybe JPT will have done some other work aswell to them. There are operators such as JPT, Decker Bus (Whittlesey), Anglian Bus (Beccles) who offer MOT's.

I could be wrong but im pretty certain JPT had the two UVG Darts briefly and even had them listed for sale on Ebay. JPT does buy alot of older stuff from BCA Bus Auctions in Manchester and then sells it on, normally on Ebay. They recently had alot of ex Go North East vehicles listed. However i doubt JPT did much if any work on them.

Would appear YL struggled today after Rl 137 was having problems and got took out of service at around 2.30pm. No buses on the 105/106 after 3pm today. This will also have a knock on effect on this evenings 182 workings.

So all in all they had 3 buses taken out of service in one day? 1 on the 105/106 and 2 on 53's!

Would appear they only had one bus on the 105/106 today. That bus being 137 which was on the same route yesterday but was took out of service. So the 20past bus from Alverthorpe has been cancelled all day. Strange move as it's alot busier than the peacock estate route, YL will be missing out on alot of passengers and money! at this rate

Not much, the routes are commercial so nothing to do with them. VOSA on the other hand would have quite a lot to say about such matters, and being on the doorstep so to say means they risk being spotted if it becomes a regular issue. Fines or worse thus become a possibility.

Certainly very poor given they have only been operating for under a month, but i suppose teething problems are always going to happen in the first few weeks of operation. What seems to have let YL down is there lack of spare buses.

127 is not staying much longer according to them on Facebook. It was still in use in Wakefield today together with one of those ugly UVG things 142 if I remember correctly.

These were suppose to be 'cover' but both seem to be out in service everyday! And at least 1 is always on the 105/106.

I'm suprised nothing has been mentioned on their facebook regards the 15th. What are typically the most reliable low-cost buses? Many smaller operators seem to go with Optare Solos as opposed to Darts.
