Ture, but they've only just introduced the new York livery. As the two in York livery are X reg and 1015 is 02, perhaps they want newer B10BLEs on the 844

Y154/64HRN are the new two tone York livery. YD02UMX is Coastliner. X659YUG im unsure on at the moment, wether it will be branded York, Coastliner or sent back to Keighley.
YD02UMX at least could be used on Pickering, Whitby services if ever needed be anyway.

Well they have been red for the past 2-3 years since the Transdev takeover. Presumably they are repainting them in their own paintshops which have limited capacity and for that reason Lancs Utd are still using a Yorks Coastliner liveried vehicle - it too is to be repainted, just no one is quite certain when the paintshop will find time for it.

I think Harrogate should look at ridding it's Javelins for B10's. The Javelins surely don't have much longer, do they ?

The vast majority of the H&D fleet was repainted by contractors

I presume the Leeds City Sightseeing is now going to be operated by York, as there was a Transdev York Leyland Olympian running round the other day with drivers route learning onboard.

Olympian F349WSC will be painted in full city sightseeing livery so i hear as it's a replacement for B241WUL.
On the topic of Javelins, yes they ain't broke but they are not low floor.

What's the status of GYE603W and the other MCW. Both back at York from Leeds on sightseeing duties.

I think it is operated from York now instead of Harrogate, as I saw a York Olympian over in Leeds on driver training duties the other day.

Them MCW's surely can't cope at full throttle on the A64 can they ?

Indeed they can. HJC's do so i don't see why no others can't.

Howcome they have removed the Leeds citysightseeing titles ?

So it can be used in either city, the Leeds tour only needs 1 bus

At some point won't Transdev want to rid of these MCW's. They are over 30 years old now.

Still very reliable, hence why HJC are still running them.

Its like the saying 'If it aint broke don't fix it' so if the Metrobus is reliable why would they replace it.

I thought they want to make the open top fleet low floor ? That was the plan few years ago bringing in ex Metrobus Trident's.
