Wonder how long before they start allocating some of the 07- Reg B9's to other routes, They're starting to look a bit shabby inside now. It wouldn't surprise me once the buses move to Atkinson Street depot they'll probably be lots of missallocations!

I don't think they are going to Atkinson Street because I have seen 37104 on the Wetherby routes all day. So whether they are trying it out to see if they are better suited to Wetherby routes or not, & if it is the Alexander Alx400's he painting then there's no point having them on the 2, 3, 3A, 12,13 & 13A.

I've seen 37104 on the Wetherby runs as well. Be interesting to see what buses will be moved around when Atkinson Street opens. does anyone know if the Free City Bus is moving to Atkinson Street?

At the moment isn't it anything goes on the Wetherby runs? Because I think common sense has now shown First that the new single deck B7RLEs for this route weren't the best idea or very appropriate.

there tends to be alot of ALX400s on the Wetherby routes. some of the B7RLEs have been on the 2/3/3A 12/13/13A route this week.

It would be a good idea if it has been decided that these are not suitable for the 98,99,X98 services to send them down to Kirkstall to replace the worn out B7RLE's used on the 757 LBIA service, as the thousands of trips up & down Pool Bank have taken there toll on these vehicles. Mind you there's no adblue tanks at LKG, so many trips to Cherry or Bramley for it!!!!

It shouldn't really matter once Atkinson Street opens. I imagine the 757 wolud operate from Bramley depot rather than move to Atkinson Street.

Bramley depot is probably closer to Leeds Bradford.

and that is why the 757 will be allocated to atkinson street, if bramley is closer to lba why woudnt they run 33,33A,97,X84,731,757,966,967etc the 757 would be easy access for the depot as it runs to the bus station"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Point taken guys! I never gave distance to bus station a thought. Back to topic of B9s does anyone know anymore about when they are entering service? still seeing plenty of Scania deckers around.

Spotted 3 new B9s around town today. 2 were on the 3/3A route and one was on the 37 service to Halton Moor.

Hate to see it but the new B9's are already starting to look shabby, to say they've only being in service a few weeks. Hopefully Atkinson Steet will have top facilities for maintanance.

This is true, certainly as far as the interiors are concerned. I've already touched on this in my message yesterday under the 'More new buses for Leeds thread. Plastic interiors are just not durable enough when passengers insist on putting their feet anywhere but the floor. Today I've noticed further examples of the new B9TL's which have suffered scuff marks to various upper saloon panels due to shoes/boots being 'rested' on them. These are very difficult and sometimes impossible to clean once the plastic has been scratched/scuffed and will probably be there for years.
