Don't be fooled by the headline, it is not an increase from 50% to 75% of the full fare.
The increase which is only on the proposal table at the minute and if approved would see the 40p flat child fare increase to 50p.
This would also be the first increase in Childrens fares for 8 years, plus they would also remain the cheapest outside of London.
The prosposed increase was a result of the "wider financial climate" according to the Director General
Footnote, I remember the days when they were as low as 2p

Whats the point when the Children Yobs of Barnsley get it free anyway. That would be unfair on the kids living in Rotherham, Doncaster & Sheffield . However i do know that company's need the money and with the government cuts 10p is a low increase.

It seems to have been accepted and will be coming in, in April. It will be easier for us who work in Public Transport.
