Over the past few months Belle Isle have been allocating 3 low floor Deckers from 700-707 to these routes from what I understand this is to help reduce overcrowding on the single decks operatered by Dewsbury.
Over the past couple of weeks the route branding for 126/7 has been removed from Dewsbury based Commanders 1412 and 1414.
Only a rumour but I heard that any "new" whatever new means deckers for Dewsbury would be put to use on the 126/7 and not to displace the lowlanders from 202/3.

That sounds very feasible, I would suspect the entire allocation of single deckers for these routes will be replaced with deckers and the vehicles cascaded will see off the last Ikarus step-entrance and DAF SB220's. They don't need to replace the Lowlander's.

yes I have heard that too about the 126/7s getting some deckers. With the lowlanders moving on and Olympus (110 branded) moves to the 202/3 routes. 110 rumoured to be getting some Enviro400s. Let's see what happens rather than speculate!

Can I ask where you have heard that the 110 are to get new buses? Why does the 110 need new vehicles? Arriva have done some big promotion work on the 110 and the vehicles, for example making people well aware that they have leather seats, So don't see the logic in buying new buses for the 110 when they have only had the olympus' for less than 3 years. By the way the reason the 126/127 are getting double deckers is down to a number of people calling for them to be introduced via the Arriva Facebook page. Nice to see Arriva actually listening to it's customers!

Nice to see Arriva actually listening to it's customers! I heard the news from a couple of very reliable sources. The low floor spectras 700-717 on the 110 would have been replaced when they were slightly over 4 years had the Olimpuses arrived on time. Althought these are mostly on 08 plates the chassis I believe were available from early 2007. I know given the publicity that the 110 gets it is Arrivas Flagship route, I would always want to allocate the newer better buses to it and cascade the older ones from it. Historically most buses used to to have leather seats, a move back to the good old days maybe.............

All this fleet replacement in turn will eventually lead to the disposal of Spectras 624-641 which are due for replacement as AY strive for a 100% low floor fleet before DDA compliance comes into force around 2016 (?). I have found out what the master plan is and Spectras 624-641 are not going anywhere for a bit as they are cheep to run and good on fuel 110 B9s are moving to Dewsbury for 202,3 but that still could change with the new ones still could be for 202,3s but unlikely. 10 new double deckers buses are due for the 126,7 with the Commanders going some where but dont know where at this point but arriva are not happy with them as they are bad on fuel. The VDL lowlanders are going to selby to let the plaxtons go as they are bad on fuel and Hecky could be getting more enviros for the 254 freeing up b7s to let the alx 300s go as they are costing 10k a month to keep in traffic but that still could change with there Plaxtons going. Im not sure how quick these chagers are to happen but it 126,7 sounds like it could be asap and same for the lowlanders and I will know more by the end of the week hopefully.

The Commanders will no doubt go Northward to Glasgow. But Selby's Presidents are to go to Wakefield displacing Step Entrance Spectra's and this is form very high and reliable sources.
