Does anybody out there remember any of the route's that black prince operated?
I am setting up a fantasy bus company on one of the yahoo group's, and after i have my main route's are established (every 10 minutes), i am looking at brining back some of the half hour black prince routes?
Also what routes did first operate before the purchase? Like i know, that they had the 74/75 operating to Ireland Wood/Tinshill.

There's a list on the West Yorkshire Buses website under it's old fleetlist, there's also a timetable on the net for the 751 service, plus found some on old Metro route maps for Leeds. Quite funny looking back at Black Prince routes as some of them are now run by Centrebus: Routes that Black Prince have run: *8 - Pudsey-Horsforth-Seacroft-Cross Gates *9 - Pudsey-Middleton-Rothwell-Cross Gates-Seacroft *38 - White Rose-Kirkstall-Headingley-Moortown Corner-Gledhow *53 - Morley-Leeds-Moortown Allerton (now First's 51/55) *53A - Morley-Leeds (First's 51/55) *54 - Morley-Cottingley-Leeds-Headingley Stadium-Moor Grange-Ireland Wood (First's 55 to Leeds then simliar to 56 route to Moor Grange then onto Ireland Wood (18A) *63A - Halton Dial-Leeds *63B - Bodington Hall-Headingley-Leeds -Clarence Dock*66 - Tyersal-Pudsey-Old Farnley-Leeds (every 2 hours) *66A - Tyersal-Pudsey-Troydale-Old Farnley-Leeds *67 - Bramley-Old Farnley-Leeds (every 2 hours) *87 - Morley-White Rose-Middleton-Hunslet-Leeds-St James's-Halton Moor *87A - White Rose-Middleton-Hunslet-Leeds (Sunday daytime) *88 - Bradford-Pudsey-Leeds-St James's-Halton-Cross Gates-Colton *89 - Bradford-Bradford Moor-Pudsey-Whitehall Road-Leeds (636/637 route out of Bradford, 90 route from Pudsey) - joint with First *90 - Greengates-Pudsey-Whitehall Road-Leeds - joint with First *90A - Tyersal-Pudsey-Whitehall Road-Leeds - joint with First *420/421 - Morley-Gildersome *424 - Westwoodside-Morley-East Ardsley-Thorpe *751 - East End Park-Leeds-Meanwood-Moortown *770/771 - Wetherby-Bramham-Seacroft-Leeds *781 - Ilkley-Otley-Alwoodley-Leeds *X49/X51 - Morley-Leeds (like First's X55) www.westyorkshirebuses.freeserve.co.uk/blackprin.htmwww.ast.leeds.ac.uk/~workshop/752.pdf

Not forgetting the 50A they had when the ran Leeds-Hawksworth for a small time competing with the then Leeds City Link's 50 who also ran the 50C same route and more or less same time.
Did they run a 4A or a 5A as well??

The 88 now would this of gone via (from St jame's hospital) Stanley RD,Compton RD,Harehills lane,York Rd,Gipton App,Whybeck Valley Rd,Foundry Lane, then onto cross gates/colton. If so, which bus route would of covered the now present 90 section from Foundry lane to Seacroft bus station? Was the 88 a tender aswell?

88 - Colton -(via old 78 route) Crossgates -(via 40 route) Halton - Selby Road - Wyke Beck Valley Road - Oak Tree Drive - Foundry Ave (via 42 route) to Leeds Eastgate. I cant tell you where it went from there.

I cant tell you where it went from there. From Eastgate, it went along the X11 route to Bradford via Pudsey, terminating at Hall Ings (H2).

Used to love the old Blue & Cream beasts on the 88 on crossgreen lane before it was re surfaced. Couldn't get away with paying 20p minimum fare on there though :/

Usually done by the Optare Prisma. ( I’ve been seeing it the past few Christmas’s.) ( a little bit of nostalgic Joy to see the Black Prince bus, going up and down Beckett Street on Christmas Day )
