The magic eyes in which the CCTV cameras are fitted on Arriva buses are clearly visable in various locations throughout the buses both internally and externally.
The Volvo Darwens specifically have two magic eyes high up at the rear however 1811 now as a third one which looks like its pointing down and would focus no more than a couple of feet from the rear of the bus.
Anyone know what that one is for?

I believe the one camera you mention is for the 'Back-watch' system that is basically a reversing camera in disguise. There is another monitor in the cab and along with a system of 'bleeps' it tells you how far you are away from something when you are reversing. The more bleeps there is, the closer you are to something.
