This bus looks to have an internal refurbishment with Wright Bus style seating and hand bars upstairs and down, It felt a lot better than the uncomfortable, tatty square backed seating that a normal Alexander ALX400 have.
Have any of the others had the same treatment done?

Ex york or somewhere aint they the 31142/47? would explain the different interiors. Also these are different to the rest of the alx400 batch as they sound totally different when accelerating. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBJfcePqFsY

No, they were destined for us originally but the majority of the batch ended up with S. Yorks.

The Registration YU is a Sheffield registration so I presume it was destined for South Yorkshire.

They were destined for SY, but then SY received the 11 Transbus ALX400s a few months later. 31136 was also sent of to Bristol where it still remains (not sure of the new number - as it was re-numbered), for the launch of the Showcase routes. So SY has 31129 - 31135 & 31137 - 31141 and 31148.
