As previously indicated, I've refrained from any comments for 2 weeks to give Centrebus opportunity to settle down with their new routes. Overall, I must admit to being quite impressed - their new Solos are clean, warm, bright and have welcoming interiors with clear informative destinations. Drivers have been friendly and willing to explain new times etc and seem to admit if they are unsure of any fares/route. I'm pleased to note they have introduced a Day Ticket throughout the new network and an Inspector has been noted at Hudderfield Bus Station However, there has to be some negative points and for the record will list a few:- 25th Jan (their first full day of operation) - the 1015 557 missed - later saw a new bus broken up Copley Hill - probably explained problem 27th Jan - K-Line 343 departed Halifax Bus Station 5 mins early at 1650 instead of 1655 - this is a serious error 30th Jan - spotted a 534 returning to Halifax down Main road at 1556 - presumably late and missing out Shibden - needs explaining General comment - they need to make their mind up if the company is to be called Centrebus, Huddersfield Bus Company or K-Line - this is very confusing to the general public. Finally, on a real positive note, a big thank you to the driver of the final 534 from Halifax on the day of the sudden snow (4th Feb) who bravely steered his bus up Kell Lane to the bottom of Cave Hill. This ride was rather like the ones seen on the cult programme 'Ice Road Truckers'. A thrilling, but rather foolish ride which pleased 'the only omnibologist on the bus!'

The 534 was diverted for a while about a week ago due to roadworks or something along those lines so that might explain the problem of it coming down the main road when you saw it.

We know who we are - K-Line is for Honley routes, Huddersfield Bus Company for routes from Waterloo & Centrebus for services from Elland and aside from 1 am journey on the 536 run by Elland there is no interworking - all fairly clear from the operators & customers position. It tends to be that normal customers who don't follow the minutiae of bus company news are less confused than enthusiasts as they just want to know what bus to look for and who to contact, nothing else matters. Any complaints (such as the early running) should be sent to the company to allow them to investigate. The address for customer complaints or comments is: Customer Communications Officer Centrebus 102 Cannock Street Leicester LE4 9HR

The only confusion is that all the Calderdale services were billed as 'Huddersfield Bus Company' in Changing Times, the press and all timetables, and then when they launched they were branded as Centrebus
I imagine any further revisions of timetables will be branded as Centrebus for Calderdale services and this issue will disappear over time

I presume it was in service as I saw it leaving Halifax Bus Station today when I was on my way to Leeds but it was from the rear so couldn't see the destination & no it is still all over white

I doubt if it ever will, because it is only on hire from Arriva Bus & Coach to replace 510 - the Dual Door Dart, which has suffered a major mechanical failure. It was towed away from Waterloo on Friday morning. www.flickr.com/photos/billogs/4351791762/
