30928 has chrome trims, however it does wear an advertisement for a Car full side so maybe used to emphasise the car wheels as such. Photo can be found on my site.

I think this is some policy the First group have embarked on. First York's ALX400s went in for the same treaty (I think??). The newer 54 Reg B7TLs and onwards all came in Chrome wheel trims.
They look smarter than purple.

I've started to notice over the last couple of weeks most of the buses are recieving chrome trims, even the Scania Striders!

The fitting of wheel trims has been adopted by First countrywide and even Dennis Darts should receive them soon.
However, in my opinion the visual effect of the trim is somewhat spoilt when the wheel is fitted with yellow nut movement indicator tags as carried by some of Cherry's new B9TL's.

All buses with First Huddersfield seem to have been fitted with chrome wheel trims.
