Yorkshire Post headlines today relating to the Doncaster Park & Ride Scheme:
The scheme built with the help of £15M Government Cash that can cater for 800 cars but operates with as few as 30 a Day. Now the Mayor of Doncaster favours scrapping the bus lanes describing the project as the "Most colossal white elephant"
It is branded a ludicrous waste of money and the people who have wasted it should be ashamed.
Profligate, Doncater Mayor Peter Davies is furious about how few commuters are using the Rossington park and ride facility. He wants the towns bus lanes to be opened up to cars.
Average monthly Usage South Park ranges from a low of 42 to a high of 62 per day. Usage at the Northern one at Woodlands is even lower and ranges from a low of 21 to a high of 35
