Currently on loan to Halifax Joint Committee as mentioned in a previous thread, and operating in old Blazefield style Huntingdon & District colours. Does anyone know what the fleet plans are - and even though the notices in the window say on loan, is there a plan to keep and paint 149 as would fit into the fleet quite well alongside G547. Does that mean they have withdrawn B196 metrobus along with B203? Here's a photo of it in Bradford today: www.flickr.com/photos/dansbusphotos/3993711532/in/photostream/

I've heard it is on loan for about 2-3 weeks for evaluation and after that it will most likely be getting painted near enough straight away like my 47 (Hopefully) it will be numbered 149 as the number 49 might have put a jinx on it as the other 49 caught fire about a year ago (So I've heard off staff)
P.s. The photo was taken yesterday as I was stood next to him when he was taking it. lol

Certainly in desperate need of some paint. It would have been in those colours since before November 2003 when Blazefield sold Huntingdon to Cavalier. When Keighley got those last 6 (H143 & H147 had been there since 2002) from them in exchange for older ECW bodied Olympians, some of them operated local services in those colours until they got round to repainting them!

Was noted broken down and receiving attention this morning at Huddersfield New College, but was noted back in service at New College on the afternoon run.

I have a feeling it could be the SLF one because they do go quite cheap nowadays :-D

Same with the Excels, they're cheap. I think the step entry darts will be even cheaper, c£4k as there isn't as much of a market for these and Ensign will want shut asap.

You'd be looking at about £4k for the P registered Alexander Dash then, wouldn't suprise me if it is that one that they take on.

The 'new' bus N413 MBW has arrived at the Depot yesterday just before 8:00pm after been towed in due to it breaking down near Doncaster, this is now the newest bus in the service bus fleet, See: www.flickr.com/photos/thespian/4049957048/sizes/o/www.flickr.com/photos/thespian/4049957300/sizes/o/Edit: Initially broke down not far from Ensign's premises, was fixed and then got as far as Grantham up the A1. After being allowed to cool down for half an hour, it started again before finally expiring again near Doncaster

Good start to its arrival.
The Dart will be pretty cheap then, could be free motoring for atleast a year if it is taken on.

This I think is the same bus that operated on the Stagecoach Devon later Stagecoach Cooks Coaches 60/61 Yeovil-Ilminster run in Somerset, I remember going to college on this bus - a very sluggish dart! I'm sure these vehicles are following me! Lol.

This one got upto 60mph on the Motorway on the way back and has some power too, so I've heard off the driver that drove it back.
