Does anyone have any updates on what buses have guide wheels thesedays in Leeds?
They would be required on any buses operating services 5 & 40 from Bramley and 18, 35, 45, 56, 64 & 71 at Cherry Row

Why would they be required on the 5?
First Leeds update due??
I think you only need to know which Scania Wright Axcess Ultralow/Flolines and B7RLEs at CRG have them.

I had assumed the 5A used the guideway in East Leeds but I must be wrong so ignore that
My main queries are as follows:
At Cherry Row I've got the following listed as having guide wheels:
Scania L113s 61069-61078 (for the Pink Line) Volvo B7RLEs 69315-69324 and 69329-69350 (for Scott Hall Road, 64/64A and also the Pink Line) Volvo B9TLs 37645-37666 (for the Turquoise Line 56)
Therefore 69325-69328 and 69412-69415 haven't got guide wheels meaning they are pretty much restricted to the 37 and Wetherby services?
At Bramley
Scania L113s 61056, 61068 (Have these had them removed now, since they were transferred to Bramley?) Volvo B7TL/Alexander ALX400s 30929-30938 (for the Indigo Line) Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 32431-32452 (also for the Indigo Line)
And in Bradford;
Have all their B7RLEs now got guide wheels?
Plus which B10BLE/Renowns and B7TL/ALX400s have still got them?

Volvo B7TL/Alexander ALX400s 30929-30938 (for the Indigo Line) Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 32431-32452 (also for the Indigo Line) No single deck vehicles have guide wheels at Bramley. Once transferred they are usually removed within a day or two. Your list of DD's is correct. You still show some ALX400's at Hunslet with guide wheels, which I am sure will have been removed. The closure of Cherry Row later this month will result in all guide bus routes being operated from Bramley (56, 64, 18/18A and Scott Hall Road routes are being moved here, with 42 from Hunslet) Hope this helps

I can't remember where it was but i was following an ALX400 which had had its wheels removed but still had the arms attached.

I think Huddersfield's had or still do have their arms fitted, you can tell when they have got arms fitted or not when your on the bus by seeing yellow and red circle stickers above the cab, if it has just a yellow sticker it has arms fitted but if it has yellow and red stickers that means it has both arms and wheels fitted.

Why leave the arms on?

I've often wondered this, possibly because they may end up doing a round trip to where they started? Maybe because they're worthless and take too much time to get off?

There is little value in taking a bus out to remove its arms. I would look to only do a perminant removal at MOT time plus you have some spares available to bring back quickly by just adding new/repaired wheels. The guide wheels only require 4 Nuts and Bolts to add them to the arms. This can be done without lifting or placing the bus over a pit.

I had assumed the 5A used the guideway in East Leeds but I must be wrong so ignore that I doubt they would be able to leave the guideway here, there's a fairly long gap for some reason but no traffic lights.
