New thread to state unusual sightings of Buses in West Yorkshire. Hmmm, I thought the Incorrect Allocations kind of incorporated unusual sightings.

Most of these turn into people trying to find exciting reasons why a bus was in a location (maybe they are introducing a new route? etc), whereas it will always be either private hire, a trip from one depot to another to pick something up or on their way to/from Volvo, Crossroads commercials etc

Today I saw the rear end of a Volvo Olympian Palatine II in Dewsbury depot in the fitters area, I dont know if it was a Arriva one because the back of it had a rear ad on it but the reg plate was something like P323 --- at a quick glance.

I have seen this bus on a few occasions been pass Birstall 3 times in last 3 months. Maybe got on M62 and turned off at wrong junction on gone in wrong direction!!!!

Is it this one? it has a rear advert like you mentioned. www.arrivabusandcoach.co.uk/details.asp?ProductID=160If so it's at Arriva B&C at Gomersal, hence why it may be getting some attention at Dews.

Looks like the upper deck windscreen guard is well designed. At least it's got a window where the centre exit used to be!

Anyone know why Ross Travel had an all white Solo, YJ58 VCE on the 125 today. It even had a Dot Matrix Destination Board correctly showing 125 Pontefract or 125 Wakefield

Yes, that Solo is provided by Optare to cover warranty work. Does this mean that there are problems with Ross 1, YJ58 PGK?

anyone know why Dewsbury have got an ALX 300? It could be no more than a vehicle shortage, does anyone know if the ALX300 was from Heckmondwike, complete with wheel trims or from Belle Isle. Dewsbury is the only Arriva Yorkshire depot which operates the some number of vehicles on Saturday as they do Monday-Friday hence a vehicle shortage could be the most logical reason

Which Saturday trips do Heckmondwike run on the 281-3?

I can confirm that it wasn't a Heckmondwike driver, It was Definitely a Dewsbury one as I have seen him loads of times before driving Dewsbury Routes. It's news to me if Hecky run the 283 aswell
