Yes, they're dealer stock not demonstrator vehicles. The four for Wakefield will come already painted in Arriva livery with the corporate interior instead.

Wow, they look brilliant, I'll be on them on first day in service as the Voith gearbox is my favourite.

Does anybody know what is going happen with 126/127 Wright Commander's once the four new one's enter service? All of the batch 495-499 could be allocated with 1400-1408 on the current Hemsworth Routes: 194-196 and 496 which currently require a total of 13 (8+5) just the same total of the old Commanders during the middle of the day. Interesting in that I don't think either of the two re-painted ones 496 and 498 have been branded. I did hear a rumor, sorry, that they 495-9 would be going to Scotland.

Thanks timelesstable
Make sense to put them on the 194-196/496 and keeps all the Wright Commanders together.

However, I'm sure that 495-9 were dealer stock and not ordered direct by Arriva Yorkshire. The seats are/were different and Arriva Yorkshire might want to dispose of them, but they are low floor modern buses why move those on when they still have plenty of non low floor buses.

The rumour going round is 4 (yes only 4..!) of the batch are going to Scotland with 499 staying at AY. I cant believe that they would keep 1 non standard vehicle (if you can call it that) at AY rather than sending the complete lot. Penfold

Penfold It does seem strange to go to all the trouble, downtime and expense of painting and fitting LED destination screens only to send themelse where in the group. I'm sure Castleford would much prefer to do deal which saw 4 of their ex Dewsbury darts go north of the border instead.

Personally I think they are great, so long as you have loads of room to turn them in at Junctions ! Penfold
