I have noticed that Arriva have started advertising their £4 day ticket rolling along the destination blinds to the front, side and rear, but only on selected routes and vehicles
It appears to be confinded to the the Wright Eclipse Urdan Vovlos but only when they are routes 254/5. I saw one on 220 and the rear display was static.
It also appears on the Alexander Dennis Enviro 400's but only when they are on route 268. The two I saw on 229 only had static route displays at the rear.
Jim can you make roll please :

Scrolling text full size on a rear number display is daft to be honest, there's about 3 letters visible at anyone time!
If they want to display messages on the back they should pay for full sized destination displays on the back.

The lowlanders on 202/3 are showing this on front and side as well as the rear. Looks strange showing 3 letters at a time as you need to really read what it says. Says "Travel all day for £4" Why don't they invest in Advertising boards to advertise this at the rear.

No sign today that 126/7 at either Belle Isle or Dewsbury have been treated. Additionally the 194-196 and 496 were not showing signs either.

The Dewsbury Commanders I saw today were also carring the Travel all day for just £4 after the rolling via Horbury and Ossett at the front and side and together with the 126/7 at the rear.

Dewsbury's Lowlanders also display it on the 202/203 route.

I have noticed that the rear number boxes do not have scrolling texts anymore; they simply show the route number.
Anybody else noticed and know the reason why?

To do with new DDA legilsation that came into force in the new year which dictates that you can't have scrolling information on rear and side destination screens. Arriva had safety messages scrolling on rear screens in Liverpool.

Can you not have the basic switch setting on the side destinaitons or it just scrolling?

I heard that the front one's are going to be changing (Maybe when the Low-Floor law comes in) that all buses have to display the destination in big letters with no scrolling via points

The program what they use to program Hanover destinations can do what ever they design it to do e.g programme First logo in etc. on the front, side & rear

But much less of a distraction than those scrap adverts of a year or so ago on the rear of Arriva 443, 624 and 639, especially where the lift flap stickers were.

I meant with the new laws inplace. Can you have the switch over or does it have to be on one destination constantly?

Still scrolling on the rear of Enviro200s on the 281/2/3 and the VDL/East Lancs on the 202/203. Has the law really changed?
