From their Twitter: New link connecting Batley and Cleckheaton. Hourly. 7 days per week! Max fare £2.70 with FREE RETURN #lowlowfares How would our passengers feel about SGI 269 and 289 not departing from Cleckheaton Bus Station? Unfortunately our new 289 service will not use Cleckheaton bus station.

Just curious if anyone called up? I'd assume that what was said wasn't to be posted on here, but at least people got the chance to do this.

As I had mentioned in this thread contacting Station Coaches about all of this is the best method, so at least Dean is giving that opportunity on Monday.

I wouldn't bother touching an Optare Excel, they're well known to be problematic.

Spoke to Station Coaches earlier. S865 ONL will have work one on it, T627 SOA will gain a blind and confirmed services stated on twitter although the X81 re-numbering & extension is dale's doing. The 'new' B6BLEs will be in service shortly and are having quick checks done by the A.Lyles team at Lyles yard until a full check can be done 1 at a time over a few days (each) without disrubting services too much. No pics yet though till they enter service. Good to know that you managed to get your issues with the Prestige addressed, I guess they'll sort it once there's a few B6BLEs on the road, along with other issues that need looked at including repainting R407 FFC and sorting the problems with Y48 HHE. It seems with the amount of work they're willing to do it should hopefully turn this into a reliable operation eventually...as long as they give things a try and not just randomly change services every few months.

Given the shorter notice yes, but if they are moving to actual blue discs this should be the last change on them.

Ask if there are any plans to move away from the white community bus permits onto blue standard discs, and if so when is the time scale for that to take place. You could also ask if they're going to bother to fit destination displays onto the buses that need them instead of paper signs, and if the B6BLEs that are coming will be made DDA compliant.

Wouldn't trust anything run from the Twitter account it is no doubt still being run by the office in Dewsbury rather than being run by Station Coaches' management. Contact the actual company if you have any queries.

Didn't notice, sorry about that. Good luck to the owner anyway.

Let's not forget the fact that the owner clearly has the money to operate bus services with all these buses being bought and paid for, no rentals here.
If you want to know what is exactly going on in terms of registrations (next wave will probably be under the blue discs), why not try and contact Station Coaches directly and get the answer you're looking for?

Just have to keep an eye out on the online registration search then. At least they're doing this anyway as the use of community bus permits weren't the right way to do things.

He is still there, just not 100% manager anymore, the service changes will have been organised by the owner of Station Coaches as they have applied for 6 blue O Licences for the new buses How recent is that out of interest? I'm aware of a license extension to six discs under Station Coaches' own but I don't see a new application for SGI Community Transport CIC unless this will be in the next N&P. At least with the blue discs they can't suddenly put new buses on the road that easily, they have six discs they run six buses unless they apply for an upgrade, and they'll have the same 56 day notice period that everyone else has.

Thats good. So thats the 284 increased back to 2 an hour, the 285 increasing, X81 MAY increase but the drivers are 100% adamant that it will not extend to hecky & cleck. That will also mean that Y48 HHE can get fixed better and S865 ONL can have padding put in the seats and the metal strips removed. It may also mean the 278 may extend too and possible herald the return of 269 (this has been hinted at by sgi). Anyone know what happened to the 63 reg streetlite they had coz ive not seen since easter and was a decent, nifty bus??? Have you reported the metal strips on the seats though? They won't look at it if nobody tells them. As much as they want to increase their services, having a few adequate spare buses would be good too.

They have 6 Ex Harrogate B6's - they are untaxed & untested and are going into service one at a time when they get tax and tested. Station Coaches manager is wanting it to be a success, hopefully it will be... only time will tell! This is a positive move. Sure I saw an advert for them very recently, they are the non DDA (some were refurbished and converted to DDA compliance) W-CWX B6BLEs that have been left lying for quite a while.

I think it might just go in white. The Prestige was a different colour with its previous owner in Tamworth.

How long is R407 FFC going to remain unpainted and still carrying an advert for a service long gone? You'd think they could have covered that up with something else by now like an advert.

Without saying what was said and deleted before, the company just didn't have the right tools for the job at times and made careless mistakes that didn't help matters. Now that another company is involved, things should slowly improve.
Delete my post if this is still problematic. I have mentioned no names here.

If the services look like they could be profitable, they could be put on Station Coaches' own license and finally end this pathetic attempt at community transport once and for all. Buying the VW seems to be a mistake, could have bought a few Darts instead.

Back on track? When were SGI on track? SGI are improving gradually since station ciaches took charge. Plus has anyome seen the streetlite or is this the bus that was sabotaged (,allegedly) If Station Coaches are running the show then how long until they stop abusing the community bus permits and put things on their actual standard license?

They have received the £26,000 Metro payment and are going to get back on track now. Okay but surely they should have learned their lesson with the rental fleet if they were burning money like it was nothing by hiring unreliable Plaxton Primos amongst others instead of just having a paid-for fleet of older but reliable buses.

Aren't those buckets anyway? So rather than spending money on a couple of Darts so they wouldn't have to depend on the coaches (there's even two X-WRG MPDs advertised on eBay at the moment - before anyone says anything SGI have sold their buses on there) they burn money on a tiny minibus with 16 seats or less.
Who can defend this?

Shouldn't they start by running the X33, you know a service that is actually registered, before introducing another new one. Maybe they're not going to bother and will silently cancel it seeing as they wrecked the timetable for that not to mention they probably haven't even got the extra buses they need. Instead of just doing an hourly service with layover time at the start and finish, they thought doing it every 45 minutes would be a good idea! Also I would think those silly permits do have a notice for cancellations it's just shorter than the normal 56 days notice. Unfortunately these permit changes are not listed on the self-service site, the only way you can find out is through the N&Ps when they are published. They should probably do something about that.
