The Snow might of brought thousands of happy faces to people across the county today but Bus Drivers wont be that happy - The 36 and 770 have been suspended between Leeds and Harrogate
33/33A arnt reaching Menston 96 isn't getting around tinshill/cookridge 13/3 arnt reaching Brackenwood
That is just a few off the metro website, can think of loads of others 747 when it goes the back road, All Keighley Services delayed, 757 back road to Otley will be holding that up, 622/623 will struggle to reach Eldwick so will the 626 at Baildon, 940 on Back roads alot of the 94x services will be effected, 31/32 services will be effected due to the Tinshill Lane havoc, 28 will probably struggle up Long Causeway, X84 will be struggle on parts of its route, All Huddersfield services that try to reach pennine towns, All arriva services going over to Doncaster and Barnsley. Loads of Delays around the whole of the West Yorkshire Region.

I was 50 minutes late to work. the 56s were in pairs and around 20minutes late which isn't bad. got on the 2 and there was two 2s and two 3s together. Got to the Sikh Temple on Chapeltown Road and we just stopped. 2 Buses couldn't get up the hill outside Chapel Allerton Hopsital, 770 Branded President managed it though caused absolute mayhem. Heard Harrogate road was shut aswell?
Bit of snow brought the city to a standstill

ALL buses avoiding Birstall on 229, 281 and 283 due to the steep hill getting out of Birstall Market Place. 219 was totally abandend as it couldnt get down thru Birstall from Heckmondwike due to a Very Steep Hill. Accidents on Geldard Road where 229 towards Leeds were Delayed by up tp 1 hr and 30 mins!! Buses broke down and I ended up walking to work! 220 were diverted to run up Geldard Road from Birstall (ran along top rather than down to Market Place then back up ) then down into Morley past Angel Pub due to Accident near Windmill Lane.

1,96,28 are terminating at Ring Road unless the 28 is a double decker where it passes through and continues to Adel.
All X84 are Leeds-Ilkley Only.
757 Suspended on LBA-Otley part and runs Leeds-LBA only.
95 to Lanswood not Bodington Hall.
Heard from a Metro guy, who was talking to First Drivers, that the X96 will be suspended. 96 could also be reduced to every 20 minutes.
First Bradford are also brining back vehicles from LCBS, X6 got canceled twice and only operated once that during the 1030-1130 period, 72 is getting any allocation, due to the delays.
Arriva 110 and 202/203 are running in pairs. Didn't see that many 254/255 this morning, nor did i see many 229/219 that explained by the above problem.
36 suspended, one sat in LCBS from 0545 this morning still there now. All Harrogate services out of Harrogate have been suspended according to the Driver.
760 running normally although it is about 15 to 45 minutes late in each direction.

No offence but bus driver's banter is not an accurate source of information, refering to the Metro and operators websites is more official
Harrogate & District's website says that the 36, 100/101/102, 103 & 106 are running in part, all other services were cancelled

H&Ds website is a bit out of date as I was passed just after 5 by an inbound 201(or 202) and an inbound 24. 103s were serving Skipton Road although direct via Ripon Road. There were problems exiting the bus station earlier in the day and it is quite possible that all services were suspended for a brief period.

Not many Keighley local services ran this morning, as the roads were appalling and many weren't gritted at all. The 662 was heavily delayed and many journeys were taking around 2hours+, causing many delays until around lunchtime.

36 suspended, one sat in LCBS from 0545 this morning ? The first 36 isn't due into Leeds until 0558 and that is not a "36" vehicle as it then works the first 770 from Leeds. The first genuine 36 is due at 0628. The website was updated at 5pm (typical !) and the vast majority of services are shown as running - 36s included and 770s with a diversion direct along the A661 between H'gate and Wetherby

The 16 was having problems as well I think, as I saw a few coming down Stanningley Road, I think this was to avoid Coal Hill Lane, a particularly steep hill.
I experienced some bad delays on Tuesday, I thought I would be alright, having the choice of any of 3 buses, but I was waiting 40mins in bus station! 72, 73 and 508 all knocked.

I spotted the 28 on Otley Road instead of Weetwood Lane, though it was picking up passengers. Also the 97 was using the Ring Road and terminating at Horsforth.

This may be unconnected to the weather conditions as on Wednesday evening the last 36 from Leeds due to depart at 2315 had encountered a mechanical problem in the bus station rendering it unservicable. The bus and passengers was moved to stand 1 to await a replacement bus which was to be sent out from Harrogate. It's possible the failed Gemini was still there next morning.

^Not when the bus driver was around aswell.
"I spotted the 28 on Otley Road instead of Weetwood Lane, though it was picking up passengers. Also the 97 was using the Ring Road and terminating at Horsforth."
As i said in a previous post yesterday, the 28 was terminating at Ring Road due to Weetwood Lane and Long Causeway been blocked because a Car got stuck and 2 buses were blocking the lane. Later on about 12 O'Clock a Volvo Olympian was coming down Long Causeway so i would assume that it was clear and that the 28 was now able to acess Adel.
97 was avoiding Butcher Hill, 96 Silk Mill Drive (i dont blame them). 731 didnt go to Otley neither which i was really suprised about i thought the main road way it takes it should be alright to go Otley.

The suspension of the 36 between Harrogate and Leeds was because of an RTA at Harewood so the A61 was closed as a result.

The suspension of the 36 between Harrogate and Leeds was because of an RTA at Harewood so the A61 was closed as a result. That would only be partly the reason as the bad weather presumably precluded it following any diversion - its not unknown for 36s to go via Wetherby, the A1 and the A64 on a basis of we will get to Leeds somehow!!
