Wonder how many UK airports are prone to diversions from fog like LBA?

Plenty i assume, football today was called off at many locations around the UK including Cheltenham and the Irish racecourse of Fairyhouse could hardly be seen on the TV screens along.

Erm, EZY dont fly into LBA, and the only possible diversion to LBA from another airport would be MAN although LPL is alot closer for a diversion. Are you sure you didnt mean LS?
LBA is the worst fog bound airport in the england (not UK). This is because it is surrounded by Wharfdale Valley on one end and the Appearly Bridge Valley on the Other. The roads around LBA are quite hill aswell so this dosnt help alot. It can get VERY VERY foggy at times, Friday night was a prime example.

LBA-Leeds Bradford Airport yes, MAN-Manchester? Also LPL what airport is that!? How do the gradients of the roads around the Airport necessarily effect temperature inversions that result in fog!?
Apperley Bridge Valley doesn't exist mate! I believe it is called Airedale.

Jack, LPL is Liverpool John Lennon, you should know that!
I believe Leeds Bradford is the highest airport in the UK, hence it can be more prone to foggy conditions.

I thought it might be, but doesn't really suggest John Lennon in the title, just shows my ignorance towards the Aviation industry!

The bodies of water sorrounding LBA will effect the fog too. It seems to gather around areas where there is a water supply (dont know the geographical reason)

Easyjet's designated MAN diversion airport is LPL however if LPL was fog bound then LBA would have been the number 2.

It is quicker to fly to LPL anyway, and why would LBA be 2nd Choice that really dosnt make sense. 1) It is an area surrounded by Valleys on Either Side of it 2) When everywhere else is fog bound, LBA is either the same or even worse. And of course, LBA dosnt have a long enough runway if conditions are really bad, so LBA would be like the last choice any pilot would make. DSA and EMA over LBA anyday.

ok, If DSA was fine with - out fog all CHANNEX LBA traffic would have diverted there anyways.

LBA is quite often the number 2 designate for diversions, LPL being the 1st. Obviously it is at the Captain's descretion but generally speaking they would divert to LBA if they couldn't divert to LPL. It is quite feasible, as was the case here, that both MAN and LPL are fog bound but LBA isn't.
