For what i've seen, loadings between Albion Street and Clarence Dock are poor, seen 5 journeys, most number of passengers was 7 on an evening peak journey at Clarence going towards Headingley. However, they seem to be trying to capture non First ticket users, or those who are not too bothered about paying even though they have a First ticket because their advertising a max £1 fare on the destination display.

We will have to wait and see if an amendment is registed in the next two weeks.

I was on this yesterday. Probably had about 5 people on at Clarence Dock (just one person insisted on waiting for the 28 it seemed). However, nobody else had got on by Albion Street (where I got off). The driver even asked people waiting at the stop on Eastgate if they wanted Hyde Park or the Uni, when stopping to drop someone off!

The route could've put strain on those drivers who were operating the route but had schools runs to do therefore only operating it during the holidays was the only answer without having to buy more assets

Loadings are slowly increasing but I personally don't use the service and many others at my local stop wait for the First buses, most people round here have First Season Tickets, I have one myself! G147TYT was on it today which was showing route 192 on the blind albeit extremely off centred and for the destination well it was halfway between destinations Kings Cross and Marble Arch!!!! How do they expect people to know where it's going? Surprisingly the elderly seem to know more about the route than those of middle age and younger. One elderly woman was telling me all about it and couldn't quite work out why I wouldn't use it (the concept of paying more than I need to is the answer!).

Saw a few 28B's around the Leeds area today and it looked like the service was doing quite well. All had a healthy load of passengers on board and it would seem that it wasn't just being used by students travelling between the city centre, the universities and the campuses.

Now more and more people are now knowing where it goes and it is an actual service as oppose to being a school bus. Always like this when a new route starts it confuses everyone. Give it time then will soon pick up. Although I think more pensioners will use this service as its FREE with their bus pass!
