Sunday 12th October will see a selection of the groups Buses at the 4th Yorkshire Dales running day, this will be the only opportunity to ride on our 1938 Ex Lancashire United Leyland TS8 this year (as featured in Bus and coach Magazine) other delights running in service this year for the first time include Yesteryear's coaches superb former Southdown Queen Mary open top bus. Just under 30 Vintage buses are confirmned to be runing in service and a further 25 static exhibits have so far booked in, more vehicles are expected as the date nears. Timetables will also be available on the day from program sellers and some stalls at Bolton Abbey station. Please note there will be NO public parking at Bolton Abbey station on the 12th October and you are advised to use either the park and ride service from Bolton Abbey village (car park chargable) just follow the small park and ride signs or park in or around Skipton (free on street parking) and catch a vintage bus to Bolton abbey from the high street. The annual reunion and nostalgia evening of the Samuel Ledgard Society takes place on Sunday 12th October ath the Rose & Crown Pub on Bondgate, Otley from 7:30PM.
Former staff, passengers and all intrested in this bus company that finished operations over forty years ago, are welcome to attend.
Free Bus rides will be given on Ledgard's former routes and memrobilia will be on display.

Well, I was there!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the day, and the weather was great for it. I went on ON A686MWX, which was a lovely ride from York.

I went a bit confusing in skipton with no inspector present and conducts giving out wrong info. but agood day
