It has been reported in Buses Mag (October) that Metro, Leeds City Council and First are looking at plans to add more bus priority systems in place. This would focus around King Lane between the Stonegate Road and Ring Road roundabouts where peak time traffic is making service unreliable.
They are considering on building conventional bus lanes rather than guideways which would be cheaper and less financial constraints to get through.

wish they'd sort out the drainage in the east leeds ones first. its shocking, everytime it rains the water gathers near the lights or bottom of the slopes and really could do with more drains in there!

they should sort out the traffic lights too, far too many of them. need to simplify the system and that might help improve traffic.

The road there does get a little busier at peaks but doesn't delay you for more than 1 minute as it is such a small stretch of road. Why on earth do they want to throw money at that?
The Stonegate Road/King Lane junction does need general attention though as it is a badly planned junction. But it doesn't need a bus lane.
