Saw a rear end advert on one of the X6 Geminis tonight featuring a computer generated stylised Gemini and advertising a £2 maximum single fare on the route. It didn't state that it is a limited time promotion, but I can only assume that it is, as it doesn't make sense to have the fares permanently cheaper than other services.

The maximum fare is £2 on all First Bradford services*
* except for the 72 which uses First Leeds's scale within Leeds and the 653 which is more expensive in North Yorkshire

But don't standard peak fares rise to £2.50 as with Leeds? Even so, I always (wrongly) thought the X6 had higher maximum fares because of the length of the route, hence thinking this was a special offer of sorts.

Seems like a pretty good deal, Leeds to Huddersfield for £2! It costs me that with an Arriva Day Ticket on the 202/203!

No, max peak and off peak fare is now the same in Bradford, and yes the X6 did used to have higher fares but it seems that was scrapped sometime before or at the Jan 08 increase
