Anyone know what First´s plans are with this route as they are now using ex park and ride B7L´s on the service and there is no more coaches.

I'm guessing the coaches were deemed unsuitable with the service going from a non stop one to one that picked up in various places
I can't see the service being withdrawn as it lets First compete with Transdev between York and Knaresborough/Harrogate and presumably LBA subsidise it (at least partly?)

It only just touches Knaresboroughs suburbs and a retail park and does not go into Harrogate so competition is limited. Its understandable that it would keep away from Harrogate due to congestion affecting timekeeping but in the evenings for the sake of a slightly longer journey it could serve Harrogate and replace the need for a separate 767 at that time, and would also provide a York-Harrogate service when the X54 is not running. Think Yorkshire Forward as well as the Airport provide funding for these services, maybe the best solution in terms of ticketing would be give it to Transdev once their York operation is running.

The intention of the service is to provide a link from York to LBA. Competing with another operator is neither here nor there

they are gonna be getting luggage racks on going to be re-numered. the coaches became unsuitable for the service after it became stage carriage and they were'nt the best of vehicles.
