Plaxton Pointer SLF, i stand corrected. Don’t know how it would manage to go behind LGI. Yep that is a possibility, brand the Pointers up, place them on LFCB then send those that were used on the Leeds City Bus over to Bradford. No probs getting down the back of the LGI. Ihave personally taken one of the long wheel based Scania L94 single's down there BEFORE they moved the hut by the dental hospital There is a planned fleet replacement from approx November for the ALX400's on the 56's and other new vehicles arriving early in 2009. If it isn't too bad, i don't understand why they didn't replace the Wakefield bound Solo's with Versa's or Tempo's. Seemed a perfect opportunity to me.

If the 56 is to be upgraded in November, it will more likely be more B9TL Geminis replacing the ALX400s I would imagine. I don't really see First switching to another manufacturer such as Alexander Dennis or Optare to be honest, although it would be different to see some Enviro400s around Leeds! Doubt it will happen though when they are perfectly fine with Wright bodied vehicles.

First have 'the biggest bus order' in with wright bus anyhow but i'm looking forward to the upgrade on the route, presmably the alx400s will go onto the headingly corridoor? or make the 18/18a 100% D/D and shift the Scanias up to Bramley?

B9TLS will go straight to the 56 all of them i would imagine. Then the remainder will i would assume go to Akinston Street to take the ALX400 over on the Red/Blue line thus making it all B9TL fleet.
I would imagine then all the ALX400 allocated to the 56 would get spread around other routes, 18/18A, and X98/99. This would then free up the Scanias would go upto Bramley as Kendall said, and the remainder to go to Akinston Street to help out on the Headingley Corridor.
Then, we can expect to see the 28 become all ALX400, 96 to have a Mix of Olympians/Roayles and ALX400, 1 To have an Odd ALX400 when the Bendy decides it is going to brake down, X84 to get a Long Needed upgrade from the striders to the ALX400.
Bramley i would assume will deploy the Scanias from Cherry Row onto the 38/91, 88, 86.

Nick, if you read Jason's post properly. The B9TLs mentioned are only for the 56 and Hunslet Park aren't getting any more to have the Dewsbury Roads 100% B9TL operated.
I would imagine some of the Alexander ALX400s could go to Bramley as they are in need of some more low floor deckers so the 16, 40, 49, 50/50A can be fully low floor again.

Jack, the 40 & 50/50A are already low floor as they have Alx400s & Geminis allocated to them as they use the guided busways in east leeds and it only happens on the rarest of occasions that they have to put on a non-guided bus therefore the route is 100% low floor

I have a feeling the 04-plate B7TL Geminis may got to Hunslet Park eventually to replace the ALX400s and make the Blue/Red Lines all Gemini, with the ALX400s going to Bramley for the 49/50/50A.

Jason JML8371 yeah i know they're back up there but the buses will soon be older than 10years old (more than likely replaced at end of school term) and could easily be replaced by Alx400s

I'm not sure First really care about getting the routes 'all gemini', they are (supposed to be) all low floor, that's all that matters

I agree they probably don't really care about the Blue/Red Lines been all Gemini but afterall it is the largest on the Overground network having 6 services in total so it would make sense.

But to reiterate the point that I was also going to make, what has being the "largest" Overground routes got to do with them being 100% Gemini operated? At the moment they are ridiculing their own rebranding of this route by putting the usual assortment of vehicles on there instead of sticking to the promised low floor buses. Whether this be an ALX400 or a Gemini is wholly irrelevant to wheelchair users/parents with pushchairs.

To the Public 'its a bus'.
Geminis will eventaully i have read somewhere (i think on here), replacing the Olympians and Roayles allocated to the 33/33A and 96. I would imgaine then that Urabns will be to the 28/97 and maybe Geminis/Urbans to the X84.
What will they use for the Uni Link service and is 1 in need of an upgrade i know that those Bendis are now 10 Year Old i think.

Nick, you refer to Olympians and Royales as if they are two different vehicles, Royale is an Alexander bodywork for some of the Olympians whilst the others are Alexander RH bodied.

Saw fellow artic 10032 this morning, it did appear to be fresh out of the paint shop though it didn't bear the gold star hallmark.

Anybody know if there are any plans for the new artics besides York's B7LAs? Since most of Leeds' Fusions sound like total s*** LOL! Here is a video of 10021 filmed on Monday to Leeds: uk.youtube.com/watch?v=S1MRwMfEMn0
