From September the number of double deck buses used on Boston Spa school contracts increases from 17 to 20 with new services and routes introduced
Also buses 'less than 10 years old' are to be used in future. This presumably means the old Leyland Olympians are likely to be withdrawn

The Manchester Royales will then in theory only be used on Boston Spa school routes for another year at the most as these were new in 1999.
So if the leased Leyland Olympians are now deemed to old for these routes, what buses will go in their place. As most, if not all Boston Spa school routes do not form part of normal service work running boards with buses going back to Bramley, drivers taking them where they please or used on Swimming Bath runs during the day. This means that low floor deckers are going to be used then if nothing newer is getting transferred to Bramley to oust the Leylands out.

From reading that, the increase in number of vehicles required have been made so school pupils don't have to stand up on the services. Therefore, increase safety etc.

I will the Alexander ALX400 that are having their guide wheels removed, I'm going by the report saying Low Step entry buses & Manchester Alexander Royale's are not Low Step. I'm not sure what will be replacing the Alexander ALX400.

Using the old '5701-5720' would make sense, that would require some allocation changes to get all those buses to Bramley
I would imagine some of the many new buses that are due for Leeds will replace them but this means low floor conversion of the likes of the 33/33A and 96 looks more distant

Does anyone know which depots operate these services?
(MyBus services are not listed)

All Prince Henrys are Akinstion Street along with i think it is the L2 of CHCHS. When Hunslet had the 42 they used to Interwork them at fearnville i think.

Cardinal Heenan are run from Cherry Row as far as I am aware.
Abbey Grange, the L15, L16 and L35 from Hunslet Park, the L17 Bramley on a morning and Cherry Row on an afternoon.
Lawnswood School's L38 is a Bramley working.
Otley Prince Henry's are from Hunslet Park.

Anyway have they changed it for the new year or not. Because last years were one Cherry Row and the other Hunslet. I think it is that in a morning anyway because one goes of to be the 95 from Bodington Hall into leeds i think.

To fill in some gaps, I have L09, L25 down as Hunslet and L11, L27 as Bramley operated.
I did think L01 and L02 were Hunslet operated but not sure.
John Smeaton's L40 and L45 remain a mystery.

John Smeaton used to be run by Cherry Row using Alexander ALX400 & now is run by Bramley using MYBus.
