Whilst travelling in Queensbury yesterday evening I saw a First Wright Renown showing service 0610 at the rear, with samller figures than the normal 610. Is this a new idea, or simply the driver toyimg with the equipment?
Didn't know the destination equipment could show four digits. If anyone knows the answer, please enlighten me.

These buses have been able to display 4 rear figures since they were first introduced in the Bradford area. I think some of the double deckers introduced around the same time as the renoun's could as well. Not sure why though, unless it was planned that First Bradford compete with Halifax Joint Comittee within Bradford. It's the only reason why they would need 4 figured displays, and even then first wouldn't need to introduce 'A' after it's number like some halifax comittee buses did.

Quite a few ALX400's in Bradford have shown 4 digits at the back for a while. No idea why!

Yes loads of Bradford buses display 4 digits side and back. It's probably just a fault

Well I'd not noticed before. Must learn to keep my eyes open in future. Thanks everyone.
