They really didn't advertise the withdrawal of the Weekender ticket - I suppose that's in line with not really advertising it in the first place, but as someone with an interest in my local buses, I'd have expected to know about the withdrawal of a ticket less than a month after it happened!

When was the weekender withdrawn? I would get it quite often Last time I got one I bought it on 576 and then got on 425 with it and driver said it's not a valid ticket and told me to "get off unless I was going to buy a new ticket" (how polite), so I bought one and then he realised his mistake and refunded me... Some of the Arriva E200s still have Weekender ticket advertising on them (like most interior ads are ridiculously old nowadays)

There is an indication that the increase is from March 3rd. As it is, I was considering coming to Halifax on March 2nd. This will make it the end of an era as well as more cost-effective. As an aside, I don't understand why Halifax bus station is still not fully opening, but if all the buses are already due to use it I don't feel like waiting any longer to come and sample it.

Not all buses will be using it by then.

I only found out today that they've gone back to having discounts for buying multiple Day savers. It's still £45 to buy 10.
There's also 10% off Bus and Train day tickets when bought in 10s.
