With City Square shutting then for major roadworks, where exactly will those buses which cross the affected area be diverted to? Not sure which bit is shutting or if it's all shutting as well, nothing from Metro about it but Connecting Leeds are doing their usual crowing.

They're meant to be making king Street 2 ways so buses will go Infirmary Street then left into King Street then back on to Wellington Street. But my guess is if King Street isn't 2way straight away, buses will go straight across at the lights from Infirmary Street and come out at Queen Street* (* I think)

I'd imagine that if King Street and East Parade haven't been done yet (and I doubt they could turn them around in a fortnight, as well as the changes to Thirsk Row and Aire Street) it's more likely that they will direct general traffic rightwards and allow buses to turn left/carry straight on. Sending buses via Queen Street misses out two stops for every service.

No it's defo fully closing except for access to properties (such as Queens Hotel) to keep the workforce safe, the thing what will be more interesting however is how the permanent closure will affect the Queens Hotel as a good selling point is being able to pull up right outside, can see the area around Wetherspoons getting a lot busier with Whitehall Road city bound suffering unless network rail clamp down.

I have to say I've been quite happy with some of the changes made I definitely think they make sense, but this just seems backwards to me. Aire Street might get a little better with the improvements, but with roads being closed off, King Street and Whitehall Road are going to be a nightmare at the best of times, let alone at peak times.

In theory there should be less traffic as with the loop road being cut, there won’t be through traffic passing through the area.
All the traffic is being pushed onto the IRR instead
