I have been scrolling through the buses pages and I have not yet seen this concept throughout the forum. So I have a few ideas of bus services I would create.
Once the road improvements are finished on the A629, I would introduce an express bus linking Halifax and Huddersfield together. The service would start at Halifax's brand new bus station and then serve all bus stops to Calderdale Royal Hospital stop B. The bus will then run FAST up Elland Wood Road coming off at Riorges Link in Elland and then serves Huddersfield Road Stop B. Then the bus service would continue up Huddersfield Road up to Calderdale Way and since there will be a northbound link from Huddersfield Road the bus can do the same route back. The bus will continue down through Ainley Top and along the 503 bus route into Huddersfield Bus Station. This service will run every 20 minutes along with the 503 to combine a service of every 10 minutes.
I would also introduce the X8 again as a fast service linking Leeds and Halifax together. The bus will run from the Bus Station in Halifax and then along NorthBridge serving the Northgate bus stop. Then the bus will run the 508 route and serve all stops from Halifax to Shelf Village Hall. Then the bus will run as a limited stop serving Osdal Top, Tyersal thingy Lane and then Non Stop from there along Stanningley By-pass following the X6 bus route into Leeds Bus Station. This service could run as a half hourly frequency.
Another Express route: Huddersfield to Leeds which could be ran commercially by Transdev.
The service can run from Huddersfield Bus Station via the 503 route to Ainley Top then join the M62 on Junction 24 and run as a FAST Service and then the bus can exit on to the M621 and then exit on Junction 3 along the A653 and then join with the A61 to Leeds bus station.
