I believe they are doing this so the Park and Ride buses eventually blend in with the rest when fully released to normal duties, e.g. burnt seats, scratched windows, smashed usb points etc. I've also been told that normal tattydecks are being used so that when the new buses finally come onto the park and ride, the passenger will REALLY know they're on a new bus.

I get bored reading nonsense such as this but feel I've got to respond to it: Scratched windows, nowadays - Really? Burnt seats - Really? Smashed USBs - if there are any then that's down to 'Joe public'. I know at one time it was fashionable to moan and whinge about anything to do with First, and a few people are still clinging on to that notion, but quite honestly it's just boring. Incidentally, most P&R customers just board the bus and settle in their seats, unconcerned if the bus is a dedicated Park & Ride bus or not.

Incidentally, most P&R customers just board the bus and settle in their seats, unconcerned if the bus is a dedicated Park & Ride bus or not. Am I not allowed to slag off your average council chav from the likes of Middleton, Belle Isle etc in a sarcastic way? They are the reason why so many buses are vandalised big time and frankly the bus company should super clamp down on them by banning them, you ain't going to overcome the tatty bus syndrome by having a tatty bus. The backs of many seats have seen scorch marks in Leeds, this is frankly off putting to many passengers, I don't dare sit on a seat that is stained as I don't know what the stain is and don't want it ruining my clothes, windows on buses are still being scratched by some useless good for nothings mark, this too is off putting to those who want a better more quality feel to their journey. As for USB points, I've seen so many replaced by filler on the blue fronted buses you'd think the bus was under decoration! You do get a better class of customer on the Elland Road park and ride who deserve much better than what's thrown at them, I should know as I use both normal buses and P&R regularly. The only reason why I use the 1 is because it saves the slog uphill from the park and ride just for the record, other than that I've no incentve what so ever to use it, much preferring a nice clean park and ride bus full of nicer passengers! Oh, and as for those useless good for nothings who vape on the bus, I one day had a major confrontation with some useless teenager on her way to college, turns out her dad was a manager at First who couldn't give a dam what she did, he didn't care about how public transport should look, to him it's just that, public transport where anybody can do what they like. I'd suggest car drivers should stick to their cars until cretins like him are fired for better managers.
