Just wondering if anyone ridden/driven any unusual buses. For me it was Walsall Jumbo Fleetline 56 XDH 56G the one with two staircases at Buses Festival 2016

WYPTE had a Northern Counties bodied Foden decker back in 1976, Cant remember the exact reg, but im sure it was an "R" plate. IIRC it was based in Leeds. I think it was a prototype which never entered mass production and was unique to West Yorkshire.

There were, i think, 8 of the Fodens.
The model was called the NC as it was a partnership between Foden and Northern Counties (although 1 was bodied by East Lancs!).
Was developed as an alternative to Leyland as operators were unhappy at Leyland's monopoly of the industry and also, they were planning on replacing the Atlantean, Fleetline and Bristol Vr with the Titan which was an integral, meaning there would have been no choice of bodybuilder, which is something operators preferred.

It was 7250 TUB250R spent a lot of time working between Huddersfield and Halifax, also there was 3480 LUG480P Volvo Ailsa B55 with Alexander body work which did they same route but could also be found working the 576 Bradford - Halifax 7250 is preserved over Lancashire way, 3480 is no longer with us.

I'm sure this was used on the 59 Leeds to Hunslet service almost all the time during it's short time in service, defo every time I saw it anyway so I wonder why they kept putting it on that service?

Not exactly rare or unique, but the only bus i've ever driven (so far) was H519RWX, a Northern Counties bodied Leyland Olympian of Keighley & District.
That said, i don't think many Olympians got the combination of the Countybus style of Northern Counties body with Gardner engine.

It was a berkhof bodied Dennis lance and it was for a south yorkshire operator they had 3 of them they were weird vehicles, and also the transit minibuses for sp they not weird but they are unique because they will fit down streets that normal buses wouldn't get down
