the Mini e200s are the worst performing vehicles in the fleet. Only other vehicles to be withdrawn next apart from Tenpos would be the remaining Commanders which are majority at Castleford and currently spend majority of time on 147/186 Ah yes withdraw all the E200 midis and send full length vehicles on local routes. Great logic!! Plus they're not even 10 years old so that's bull.

Whilst I agree with you both, I could see Arriva losing a few E200s due to the cuts to the local routes & having not already lost any but it would be far more likely to send them to the North East to replace Solos up there (or even E200s to Heckmondwike & SRs going to North East) than the E200s being fully withdrawn from service

Arriva needs to stop ordering buses with gasket windows. It is one of the main reasons behind the shocking states of large parts of the fleet. They’re without a doubt more prone to leaks, poor heat insulation, or in the case of the tiny enviros windows that don’t fully shut... They’ve got an awful grimy appearance and it makes the maintenance of the buses appear much worse than it seems. Those mini enviros would be in a far better condition with bonded windows.

Great logic!! No replace them with e200MMCs of the same size. Also if you look back historically a few of the local routes including in Early Arriva days. In recent times you've had full sized e200s run 105 (full route end to end Peacock estate to Portabello) and 103 Wakefield to Stanley has seen all size buses. Some of the local network namely 100, 102, 103, 104, 111 & 112 all had e200MMCs 1070-1075 feature. The 100, 101, and 120/120A all have e200s on them that are bigger than 1001-1031 under Globe and they have even sent the e300 KX10DVH on the network recently.

BIB - Good luck to whoever puts that request to head office. DB are wanting to sell Arriva so parts of the company are limping on with buses 15+ years old including some areas that have only just managed to get rid of the MPDs at around 18yr old but I'm sure they'll let Yorkshire withdraw 9 year old E200s & replace with brand new buses Whilst the local routes could fit larger vehicles, are they really required? The only thing i could see happening is after 6 months - 1 year Arriva use it as an excuse to cutback further as they don't like 36-40 seater buses running around over half empty.

The E200 minis, along with the rest of the fleet, still have window bungs from covid times to stop them from being fully shut to improve ventilation! With Globe sending the e300s round on 101 circuits, I'm surprised it hasn't taken out a parked car on corrination st or in St Johns as parked cars around there are a nightmare! I remember Arriva's darts (260/261/262) having problems with overhang

Are you sure? 1106 has not worked since January according to bus times.org which proves bustimes is balls as it's been out numerous times since. 1106 has been parked up at Wakefield awaiting repair since January , so you ain’t seen it about!

Talking of withdrawls, the canias that Tiger had didn't last long at Arriva North East! Think they've all been withdrawn now and gone to scrap. Not surprised with how, bad they was and apparently the lack of maintenance on them at Tiger.

I enquired about buying 1613 for preservation but the overall cost was too high to justify.
