Someone has marked 1621 as withdrawn. Its MOT expires early March,so it could be true. 1611 is still taxed and tested(MOT also expires early March)

I've just been through all the Lowlanders on the DVLA site, and 1607 and 1613 are still taxed until 01/08/2023, 1611 and 1621 taxed until 01/07/2023.
All the rest are on SORN except 1603 and 1609 whose tax ran out last December.
Weirdly 1605 is on a SORN despite being withdrawn in 2016 due to accident damage.

What’s happening with 1611 - there’s a lot of to-ing and fro-ing on Bus Times with one person saying it’s in service and someone else saying it’s not. I think it’s doubtful it’s still in use.

I think the guy made a simple error and saw 1621 by accident saying he saw it on the 200 which is a hecky route. 1611 will mostly either be scrapped/withdrawn or just held in warm storage as it was last tracked on the 9th December (assuming) whereas 1621 may be the last one that was used. It could return for school perhaps but I highly doubt it or even doubt any of the lowlanders to be used anymore, I think that the lowlander era for Arriva Yorkshire has come to an end.

If anyone is interested, I pulled together this list by way of a brief history of the end of these vehicles:
1600 (YJ06 WLX) - withdrawn c.2019 1601 (YJ06 WLZ) - withdrawn c.2021 (Yorkshire Tiger, still in AY livery) 1602 (YJ06 WMA) - withdrawn c. 2021 (Yorkshire Tiger, in orange YT livery) 1603 (YJ06 WMX) - last used in service 20/10/2022 1604 (YJ06 WMD) - last used in service 29/09/2022 1605 (YJ06 WME) - withdrawn 2016 (accident damage) 1606 (YJ06 WME) - withdrawn 2022 (possibly Sept 2022) 1607 (YJ06 WMG) - last used in service 30/09/2022 1608 (YJ06 WMK) - last used in service 31/01/2023 1609 (YJ06 WML) - last used in service 02/11/2022 1610 (YJ06 WWV) - withdrawn c.2021 (Yorkshire Tiger, still in AY livery) 1611 (YJ06 WWX) - last used in service 09/12/2022 1612 (YJ06 WWY) - withdrawn c.2021 (Yorkshire Tiger, still in AY livery) 1613 (YJ06 WWZ) - last used in service 09/01/2023 1620 (PN52 XRL) - withdrawn c.2017 1621 (PN52 XRM) - last used in service 09/02/2023 1622 (PN52 XRP) - withdrawn c.2017 1623 (PN52 XRR) - withdrawn c.2017 1625 (PN52 XRT) - withdrawn c.2018 1626 (PN52 XRU) - withdrawn c.2017 1627 (PN52 XRV) - withdrawn c.2017
As far as I can tell there was never a 1624 (PN52 XRS) - this appears to have never transferred to AY unless anyone knows any different.
Is there such thing as an AY enthusiasts news sheet these days? Or does anyone know of an online fleet history?

Seems that way, although 4 are still taxed until the summer, but think it’s doubtful we’ll see any again.

Have the withdrawn vehicles been sent for scrap yet or are they hanging around various depots in storage?

Have the withdrawn vehicles been sent for scrap yet or are they hanging around various depots in storage? 1613 is still at Belle Isle, along with 704 which has recently been moved out of the yard to inside storage. Rumour was the engine out of the Lowlander was going in the Spectra !!! Penfold

That's the end of the DAF DB250 with arriva in public service then:( Not quite in the total Arriva fleet. Tunbridge Wells has the very last DAF DB 250 in 6007 (KL52CWW). Also at TW is the last Arriva VDL DB250 with East Lancs Lowlander bodywork in 6238 (YJ57 BKE). Both are still in front line service and, for now, going strong.

With Lowlanders being gone and commanders getting withdrawn does that mean the 08 plate Eclipses and 58 plate Enviro 400s are next?

The mini E200s are unlikely to go as they are 14 plates. the Mini e200s are the worst performing vehicles in the fleet. Only other vehicles to be withdrawn next apart from Tenpos would be the remaining Commanders which are majority at Castleford and currently spend majority of time on 147/186

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again as have others. BusTimes can only report the information it is sent and that comes from the bus’s ticket machine. If the machine isn’t set up correctly or isn’t sending data then that’s tough. BusTimes can only show what it receives.

I have heard that 1104 is now done due to not being economical enough to repair...

Great logic!!
