Looks like the northbound departure at 1836 from Leeds is reinstated, running as far as Newcastle.

Looks like the northbound depart 1836 from Leeds is reinstated, running as far as Newcastle. That's the (reinstated) Reading – Newcastle train. Please note that in the other direction, it runs via Doncaster.

JUNE – SEPTEMBER 2024
Basic timetable tbc
Plymouth – Edinburgh via Leeds (hourly) with extensions to Aberdeen/Glasgow Central and Penzance
Reading – Newcastle via Leeds 1836 (one train per day)
A move to relieve overcrowding on some of CrossCountry’s long-distance services this summer will see temporary changes to the timetable — meaning busier services will make fewer station calls from June to September
Adjusting these calling patterns — at Wakefield Westgate and Chesterfield — encourages passengers that are making shorter journeys to switch to other operators, providing more capacity for CrossCountry customers making longer journeys.
