I spotted a unknown Arriva Pulsar (Old Livery) that appears to have broken down or something as it was being dragged towards Wakefield depot at 3pm (04/06) going through Featherstone. I couldn't get the number as I was far away.

793 and 1892 on the 189 today. 793 is currently heading to Leeds whereas 1892 is heading to Castleford. I wouldn't say it's rare as it's pretty common to see a signal or the E400s on the 189 but it is still unusual sightings.1603 on the 496

You see them sometimes venture out on the 410/411 and 163/166 its a case of what diagrams they appear on. As during the week 3 buses swap with each other around 3pm each weekday apart of their diagrams. A bus from 189 goes on to 163/166 circuit, the 1500 163 departure from Cas. A bus from 163/166 circuit goes on to 410/411 circuit, this is the 1452 411 departure from Cas A bus from the 410/411 circuit goes on to 189, this is the 1454 189 departure from Cas and always a single. It ain't rare to see a single on the 189, it's usually because it could be MOT time for the MMC's or breakdowns hence the swaps or misallocations.

Single deckers shouldnt be appearing on other 189 diagram As they are usually misallocations due to reasons like swaps, MMCS mot or repair ect. the 1454pm 189 when its booked usually for a single. Oh the 747am 189 is a GUARANTEED SINGLE too on a weekday. Usually sits at spare cas all day once its done 189 till 1440 then does frystons, S11 and a 168.

Prior to Castleford starting the 164 Leeds-Selby the 189 Castleford-Wakefield journeys had a few boards ran independently and ran as single deckers. You're still bound to get single deckers on it every so often as there just isn't enough deckers.

You're still bound to get single deckers on it every so often as there just isn't enough deckers. Plus when you encounter the fact that there's MOT for buses, accident repairs, buses off the road, breakdowns, depending on where buses are parked on depot the previous night and buses not being roadworthy when they get allocated their board for the day, so a single gets that board and the double when its fixed later on goes somewhere else on a different route/board. Your right. When Arriva replace the commanders, I still think they could replace the commanders with all double deckers at least.

Looking at bustimes Transdev Idle must be struggling for vehicles as Keighley are running their 884 Dalesbus duty using solo 159

1409 was on the S68 today at 15:15. It looks like it was being tracked as SP CA today. Quite an interesting catch as 1409 is usually at selby, unsure why it was at Castleford however.

Not unusual by any means but good to see 1621 still plying its trade - out on the 446 in the Friday evening peak.

Arriva Selby vdl Gemini 1503 parked up in Castleford bus station this evening Selby is an outstation for Cas so it won't be uncommon to see Geminis at Cas or Pulsars in Selby for example. As Cas do Selby's fleet maintenance so will loan buses and selby loan buses to cas vice versa. Would be nice to see a Gemini on the 189 one day though.

Selby's Evolution 663 or 665 is currently on the 188. Looked like 665 to me when it went past.
