Does anyone know what is happening with this service, will it ever go back to hourly trains?

It is likely to go in May due to CAF issues.

It is likely to go in May due to CAF issues. I can imagine that it would not be one of the priority services to cut, there are many school and college students that do use this service at its weekday peaks I could imagine the CAF issues may cause frequencies to be cut on the Ilkley/Bradford Forster Sq/Skipton trains which could free up some 333s to cover the Doncaster runs, will have to see what gets announced because anything could happen.

The Yorkshire 331 fleet is unaffected so there is no requirement to cut frequencies to Skipton/Ilkley etc.
There is no possibility of frequent 333 trips on the Doncaster runs as the Doncaster crew do not sign them.

Replying to both your posts, maybe the Leeds - Bradford Forster Square service will be cut, as people can change at Shipley or use Bradford Interchange instead. Then a handful of 331/1s could return to the North West, as 4 carriages are often sufficient rather than 6 carriages.
