I feel that the X27 predominantly is under used between Thorpe Park and Garforth and that Garforth now has too many services.
I believe First would benefit more from introducing the service to Kippax, operating direct up Selby road like the peak Arriva x60. Considering Firsts fares are cheaper this might entice more people to leave Arriva, plus access to a First bus would mean passengers have access to the wider Leeds network.
What's your thoughts?

I don't think the extension is seen as comeptition for Arriva. It's more providing a service (for a change).
If there was a need for a regular quick bus from Kippax, Bywater etc then I'm sure it would've been looked at by now, by Arriva especially.

How are we supposed to answer?
The question you asked doesn't have a yes/no answer.

The extension of service into Garforth was never to compete with Arriva - instead it was a result of numerous customer and more importantly councillor requests to have a link to the new shopping centre at J46.
I wouldnt say that Kippax has a lack of services either compared to other nearby villages..

When I worked at Bramley and the X27 was first introduced there was rumours going round that it was going to get extended to Kippaz. If it was, it would require an extra bus, which would mean another Streetdeck being branded. Also, with it been extended to Garforth, it fit well with the frequency of the timetable. Adding Kippax onto it, could take the timetable, and make it difficult to fit.

The biggest complaints are the lack of services from Halton and Whitkirk to The Springs. Rerouting the 19 could solve that but as patronage is so low on the X27, I don't see that happening soon!

To be fair, it's probably better than nowt.Presume it is Squarepeg who are doing it at commercial risk, which probably explains just the three trips.
